Der neue Spirituskocher zeichnet sich vor den bisher bekannten derartigen Gegenständen dadurch vorteilhaft aus, daß die Explosionsgefahr verringert ist, indem durch die besondere Gestaltung der Dochtführungsrohre die Erhitzung des Behälterdeckels vermindert und durch die besondere Gestaltung der Einfüllöffnungen dafür gesorgt ist, daß nicht mehr Brennstoff in den Behälter eingefüllt werden kann, als zur Aufrechterhaltung einer ausreichenden Entfernung des Brennstoffes von dem warm werdenden Behälterdeckel nötig ist. Auf dem Deckel des im übrigen vollständig geschlossenen Behälters α sind eine Anzahl verhältnismäßig hoher Führungsrohre b angebracht, in denen die mit Drahtgewebe umhüllten Dochte c stecken und je nach Bedarf mehr oder weniger herausgezogen werden können. Beim Anzünden brennen die Dochte nur auf der aus den Rohren b herausragenden Länge. Die Rohre b enden am Behälterdeckel, ragen also nicht in das Behälterinnere hinein, was an sich bekannt ist. Demzufolge wird die Erhitzung des Behälterdeckels erheblich herabgemindert, so daß eine die Sicherheit des Kochers gefährdende Wärmeübertragung auf den Inhalt des Behälters α nicht stattfinden kann. Diese Wirkung wird nun noch dadurch unterstützt, daß der Rand der Einfüllöffnung d ein Stück in das Innere des Behälters hineinragt, so daß auch bei vollständigem Füllen des Behälters,' wie bekannt, ein Luftraum oberhalb der Brennflüssigkeit verbleibt, der isolierend wirkt.ίο by Fig. 2 in plan shown cooker.
