KAISERLICHES PATENTAMT. PATENT CLASS 1: Processing of ores. 1 Patented in the German Empire on September 28, 1883. The purpose of this invention is to give wire screens or wire meshes such a peculiar construction that they can withstand a greater pressure and, with the same size of the cross-section, present more passage openings. For this I make the wire screens from canne-. lirter, fluted or wavy instead of flat shape. To support these canneled, corrugated, or corrugated sieves, I prefer to use wire spirals of cylindrical or conical shape. When the corrugated wire screens are in contact with straight floors or walls, the supporting wire spirals are cylindrical in shape. However, if the corrugated wire screens are to rest on a more or less crooked floor surface, the conical wire spirals should preferably be used. These peculiar canned, corrugated, or corrugated wire screens are suitable for various purposes, but especially for diffusers in sugar factories. The production of the corrugated, corrugated, or canned shape of the wire screens is done in the same known manner as the production of corrugated, corrugated, or canned metal sheets. The accompanying drawing shows the different shapes of grooves, corrugations or waves of the sieves that can be used, as well as the different shapes of the supporting wire spirals. PATENτ claims: 1. The use of canned, corrugated or corrugated wire mesh for sieves. 2. The support of the patent claim 1. sieves made by cylindrical or conical wire spirals.
