Das vorliegende Verfahren, Platten aus verschiedenem Stoff (Papier, Pappe, Metall etc.), welche zur Herstellung von Gegenständen vielerlei Art (Wandkörben, Kükenschutzkörben, Schwammnetzen, Federhalterständern etc.) benutzt werden sollen, mit Versteifungsstreifen herzustellen, besteht darin, dafs die Platte a mit geknickten, winkelförmigen, bogenförmigen oder wellenartig gebogenen, nicht bis zu den Kanten reichenden Einschnitten versehen wird (Fig. 1), die dabei gebildeten Streifen b winklig zur Platte und quer zu ihrer Richtung aufgebogen werden (Fig. 2) und dann die Platte mit den aufgebogenen Streifen entsprechend geformt wird (Fig. 3). Die Streifen sind aus der Plattenfläche herausgedreht, stehen also mit ihren Schmalflächen winklig zur Plattenfläche und bilden somit Versteifungsstäbchen gegen Druck- und Zug-Beanspruchungen auf die Platte in Richtung dieser Stäbchen.
