First aid kit

The invention relates to a first aid kit with a closable cover that can be opened around a central axis and a multi-layered inner bag that is divided into several collapsible receiving areas separated from one another by elongated joint sections for receiving dressing material.

&iacgr;&ogr; Usually, dressing material for first aid is offered in special first aid boxes or bags. The dressing material is in an inner bag in the cavity of the first aid box, which has a hinged lid. The inner bag is opened by folding it open once around the elongated joint section. Unfortunately, the dressing material can easily slip when the inner bag is opened or fall out of the overly large pockets.

The excitement that often occurs in emergency situations and the additional confusion of the first aid materials in the oversized bags makes it difficult to find the first aid material and valuable time is wasted.

Another point concerns the replacement of dressing materials with an expired expiration date. To ensure reliable checking of each product, the two opposite pockets must be completely emptied to prevent confusion of the dressing materials when checking the expiration date.

The invention is therefore based on the object of ensuring simple and rapid availability of all clearly arranged first aid material in an emergency.

This object is achieved according to the invention on the basis of a first aid kit of the type mentioned at the outset in that at least one of the elongated joint sections of the inner bag is arranged parallel to the central axis of the cover and at least one further joint section is arranged perpendicular thereto.

The inner bag is preferably divided into four equally sized receiving areas by the two elongated hinge sections, which are each arranged in the middle of the side, parallel to the outer edges on the surface of the inner bag.

The hinge sections of the inner bag can be formed by seams or surfaces. If the hinge sections are formed by seams, at least two spaced apart, parallel, welded or

Glued seams are useful. If the hinge section of the inner bag is formed by a surface, there should be at least one adhesive or welding surface.

When measuring the width of the joint sections, the filling volume of the receiving areas of the inner bag should be taken into account. The width of the joint sections should be measured so that the folded receiving areas lie approximately parallel to one another. This means that the width of the two joint sections should also increase as the filling volume of the receiving areas of the inner bag increases.

At least two pockets can be formed in at least one of the four equally sized receiving areas. The openings of the pockets can all point in one direction, in opposite directions or in different directions. Preferably, the openings of the pockets all point in one direction. It is particularly preferred that the openings of the pockets are aligned towards one another.

The first aid kit according to the invention has the advantageous option of providing the inner bag in the area of the pockets with prints to identify the dressing materials stored in the pockets. The prints allow the user of the bag to immediately see which material is where in an emergency. The prints are also advantageous if the first aid kit needs to be refilled with the appropriate dressing material after repeated use.

Depending on requirements, further smaller compartments can be divided into at least one receiving area, which has at least two pockets, by means of welded or glued dividing lines.

The cover of the first aid kit is preferably made of robust, flexible synthetic fabric, cloth or plastic film. The cover of the first aid kit is preferably secured by means of a

Zipper closure. A Velcro closure all the way around is also possible.

The inner bag is preferably made of transparent plastic film or synthetic fabric and consists of at least two superimposed webs of at least one of these materials.

The placement of the inner bag in the cover of the first aid kit is advantageously chosen in such a way that when the cover is opened around its central axis, the inner bag is simultaneously opened around the axis formed by the joint section arranged parallel to the central axis of the cover and

&iacgr;&ogr; that the inner bag is fully unfolded by further unfolding around the axis formed by the hinge section arranged perpendicular to it. The unfolded inner bag, which is preferably made of transparent material, thus presents all first aid materials clearly and within easy reach with just two simple unfolding movements, with the first of the two unfolding movements taking place at the same time as the outer cover of the first aid bag is unfolded. All first aid materials (first aid gloves, scissors, information booklet, wound dressing, rescue blanket, triangular bandages, gauze compresses, elastic fixation bandages, dressing cloths, non-adhesive compresses) can be grouped together and sorted into separate bags.

A particularly preferred embodiment of the inner bag has two pockets per storage area, in which the first aid materials are sorted separately by category. The inner bag can therefore also have two pockets in three of the four storage areas and a total of four pockets in the fourth storage area, in which the first aid materials are sorted separately by category. For example, the packet of wound dressings is stored in a small pocket and the "Wundschnellverband" print can be read through the transparent plastic film. The first aid gloves 0 are also stored separately in a pocket, through whose transparent pocket cover the label is easy to read. The same applies to all other categories of first aid materials.

Further subdivisions in all recording areas are possible.

The chosen division into pockets of a certain number and size ensures that the inner bag filled with first aid material presents the materials clearly next to each other and that the pockets remain flat even when filled.

After use, the inner bag according to the invention can easily be put back into the sealable cover. Due to the inventive design of the inner bag, the pockets filled with first aid materials remain flat, so that the receiving areas around the elongated joint sections can be easily folded up. By folding the receiving areas around the elongated joint sections twice, the inner bag has the right dimensions again to be easily placed in the cover of the first aid bag.

The figures show a first aid kit according to the invention, which is designated overall with the reference number O. The kit O has an outer closable cover 1, which can be closed by means of a zipper 3 running along three sides of the cover 1. The hinge sections 5 and 6 in the first aid kit shown in the figures are formed by two spaced-apart, parallel weld seams. The weld seams are indicated in the figures by dashed lines. The width of the joint sections 5 and 6 is sufficiently large so that the receiving areas 7 lie parallel to one another when the inner bag 4 is folded together and the inner bag 4 takes up a small volume overall when folded together.

Figure 5 shows in detail the division of the inner bag 4 into four equally sized receiving areas 7. For this purpose, the hinge sections 5 and 6 are arranged in the middle of the sides and parallel to the outer edges 12 and 13 on the surface of the inner bag 4

arranged. In the receiving areas 7, several pockets 8 are formed, which have openings 10 on one side and aligned with one another. Claims (11)

1. First aid kit with a closable cover ( 1 ) that can be opened about a central axis ( 2 ) and with a multi-layered inner bag ( 4 ) that is divided into several receiving areas ( 7 ) that can be folded onto one another and separated from one another by elongated joint sections ( 5 , 6 ) for receiving dressing material, characterized in that at least one of the elongated joint sections ( 5 ) of the inner bag ( 4 ) is arranged parallel to the central axis ( 2 ) of the cover ( 1 ) and at least one further joint section ( 6 ) is arranged perpendicular thereto. 2. First aid kit according to claim 1, characterized in that the two hinge sections ( 5 , 6 ) are each arranged in the middle of the side, parallel to the outer edges ( 12 , 13 ) on the surface of the inner bag ( 4 ) and thus divide the inner bag ( 4 ) into four equally sized receiving areas ( 7 ). 3. First aid kit according to claim 1 or 2, characterized in that in at least one of the receiving areas ( 7 ) at least two pockets ( 8 ) with openings on one side ( 10 ) are formed. 4. First aid kit according to claim 3, characterized in that the inner bag ( 4 ) has prints in the area of the pockets ( 8 ) for identifying the dressing material accommodated in the pockets ( 8 ). 5. First aid kit according to one of claims 1 to 4, characterized in that the joint sections ( 5 , 6 ) are formed by at least two spaced-apart, parallel, welded or glued seams. 6. First aid kit according to one of claims 1 to 4, characterized in that the joint sections ( 5 , 6 ) are each formed by at least one adhesive or welding surface. 7. First aid kit according to claim 5 or 6, characterized in that the width of the joint sections ( 5 , 6 ) is each dimensioned depending on the filling volume of the receiving areas ( 7 ) of the inner bag ( 4 ). 8. First aid kit according to one of claims 1 to 7, characterized in that in at least one receiving area ( 7 ) at least two pockets ( 8 ) are formed, which are divided into smaller compartments ( 9 ) by means of at least one welded or glued dividing line ( 11 ). 9. First aid kit according to one of claims 1 to 8, characterized in that the inner bag ( 4 ) is arranged in the cover ( 1 ) in such a way that when the cover ( 1 ) is opened about its central axis ( 2 ), the inner bag ( 4 ) is simultaneously opened about the axis formed by the hinge section ( 5 ) arranged parallel to the central axis ( 2 ) of the cover ( 1 ), and that the inner bag ( 4 ) can be fully expanded by further opening about the axis formed by the hinge section ( 6 ) arranged perpendicular thereto. 10. First aid kit according to one of claims 1 to 9, characterized in that the cover ( 1 ) can be closed by means of a zipper ( 3 ) running on three sides of the cover ( 1 ). 11. Inner bag for a first aid kit or a first aid box, which is multi-layered and is divided into several collapsible receiving areas ( 7 ) separated from one another by elongated joint sections ( 5 , 6 ) for receiving dressing material, such that the two joint sections ( 5 , 6 ) are arranged perpendicular to one another, in the middle of each side, parallel to the outer edges ( 12 , 13 ) on the surface of the inner bag ( 4 ) and thus divide the inner bag ( 4 ) into four equally sized receiving areas ( 7 ).
