The present invention relates to a folding rule (commonly known as a folding ruler) which is provided with a novel scale label.

Folding rulers are used to measure lengths and are usually made of plastic, wood or metal. The application area of this measuring tool is very diverse and is mostly used in the construction industry, trade, industry and of course in the home.

In the well-known folding rules, the scale labels are arranged in such a way that they start from the left with 0,1,2 cm (or mm) etc.

The object of the invention is to create a folding ruler with which one can measure from left to right as well as from right to left and the scale labeling (numbers) is not upside down due to the new labeling.

This problem is solved by the double scale with scale labels. The scale is divided into two halves, one (measuring from the left side) ascending to the right, the other half (measuring from the right side ascending to the left).

In order to better define the divided measuring divisions, it is possible to apply the scale labels in different colors or to differentiate the two halves of the measuring division by color.

The invention is set out in the claims and will be explained in more detail with reference to the drawing.
