The present invention relates to a scarf/hat combination.

Hats in all shapes and sizes as well as scarves made of different materials, shapes and designs are well known. Scarves and hats are often used to protect against the cold and the elements, especially in the colder seasons. In very cold weather in particular, a very wide and large scarf is often chosen to protect the head and neck from the wind. However, a scarf often does not provide complete or adequate protection against the wind or cold, which is why earflaps are also used.

ray protectors and/or hoods. This circumstance is usually accepted, since a scarf is seen as a complement to cold and weather-resistant clothing, such as a jacket or coat.

However, there are also situations in which a jacket or coat is initially considered inappropriate because it is too warm, even though protection for the neck and head is still desired, for example when attending outdoor events in sports stadiums. In order to be adequately protected, particularly during periods of weather change, one is often dependent on carrying a wide variety of protective and/or rainwear to protect against all possible eventualities. This is often perceived as very inconvenient.

The present invention was therefore based on the object of providing protection, in particular for the head, neck and throat area, which provides effective weather protection and is also easy to transport, space-saving to store and versatile.

Accordingly, a connectable scarf/hat combination was found, comprising at least one scarf and one hat, wherein the hat has at least one first closure strip, in particular a Velcro fastener, at least on its back, and wherein the scarf, in particular in the region of at least one side edge, at least in sections has at least one second closure strip, in particular a Velcro fastener, which corresponds at least in regions to the first closure strip, and wherein the first and second closure strips are connected or connectable to one another to form a, in particular reversibly detachable, scarf/hat unit.

According to a preferred embodiment of the invention, the scarf/hat combination comprises at least one scarf and one hat, the hat having at least one first fastening strip in the form of a hook band of a

Velcro fastener and wherein the scarf is made essentially over its entire surface or in the region of the middle of the scarf, in particular in at least one edge region, at least partially from a loop material, in particular a fleece material, and wherein the first fastening strip and the scarf are or can be connected to one another to form a scarf/hat unit, in particular a reversibly detachable one.

According to a further aspect of the present invention, the scarf/hat combination can also comprise at least one scarf and one hat, wherein the hat is made essentially over its entire surface or at least in the area of the back, in particular in the rear edge area, at least partially from a fleece material, in particular a fleece material, and wherein the scarf, in particular in the area of at least one side edge, at least in sections has at least one second closure strip in the form of a hook tape of a Velcro fastener and wherein the fleece material is at least partially connected or connectable to the second closure strip to form a, in particular reversibly detachable, scarf/hat unit.

Velcro fastening systems are usually based on an adhesive tape and a loop tape. The adhesive tape usually has a large number of small hooks and the loop tape has a large number of loops. When the hooks engage with the loops of the loop tape, a so-called Velcro fastener is generally created. Velcro fastening systems can be made from nylon or polyester tapes, for example. Fleece or other textile materials that have a large number of small loops that are not permanently damaged even after repeated interaction with the hooks of an adhesive tape are suitable as loop tape materials. In principle, materials made of wool, cotton or synthetic fibers, especially in woven form, can also be used as loop tape materials.

In a further development of the scarf/hat combination according to the invention, it is provided that the first fastening strip extends over at least one fifth, in particular at least one quarter, of the circumference of the hat edge on the back of the hat and/or that the length of the second fastening strip corresponds essentially to the length of the first fastening strip. Of course, the first fastening strip can also be present additionally or exclusively in the upper and/or front area of the hat. A large number of first fastening strips on the hat can create a particularly reliable bond between the hat and scarf.

Furthermore, it can be provided that the second fastening strip is adjacent to at least one longitudinal edge, in particular on the edge area of a longitudinal edge, of the scarf, in particular essentially equidistant from the opposite narrow sides of the scarf. If the scarf is provided with a fastening strip, e.g. a Velcro strip, the greatest possible protection is achieved if just as much scarf section as necessary is used to connect it to the hat. For this purpose, it is usually sufficient to provide a fastening strip on the edge area, in particular on the longitudinal edge of a scarf. A fastening strip in the sense of the invention is also to be understood as a strip that is not continuous, but is made up of two or more fastening strip segments or fastening elements and accordingly has sections in which there is no intimate contact, such as with a Velcro fastener, between the scarf and the hat. Accordingly, a fastening strip can also be formed from individual Velcro fastener elements.

According to one embodiment, the width of the scarf is at least 15 cm, in particular at least 40 cm. Of course, the width of the scarf can also be 50 cm or more. Furthermore, the scarf preferably has a length of at least one meter.

A particularly useful embodiment of the scarf/hat combination according to the invention is characterized in that the scarf has at least one pocket, in particular

in the area of the opposite long ends of the scarf. This not only provides additional protection against the cold for the hands, but also allows the wearer to position and hold the scarf optimally in the chest and stomach area. Of course, pockets can be attached to the front and/or back of the scarf.

A further expedient embodiment provides that the scarf has third and fourth corresponding fastening elements or fastening strips at a distance from the second fastening strip and adjacent to or along the same long side of the scarf on which the second fastening strip is also present.

These fastening elements or fastening strips are advantageously approximately the same distance from the middle of the scarf and are located on opposite halves of the scarf. In addition to or as an alternative to the handle pockets, the scarf or the scarf segments can be connected to one another in the neck, chest or stomach area using these fastening elements, thus providing additional protection from wind and cold.

It can be provided that the third and fourth closure elements or closure strips each have substantially the same distance from the second closure strip and/or the longitudinal center of the scarf.

Suitably, according to one embodiment, the third and fourth closure elements or closure strips are spaced at least substantially about 20 cm from the longitudinal scarf center.

Furthermore, it can be provided that the scarf/hat combination according to the invention has at least one fifth fastening element or one fifth fastening strip between the third fastening element or the third fastening strip and the narrow end of the scarf and the fourth fastening element or the fourth fastening strip

There is a sixth fastening element or a sixth fastening strip between the first and the opposite narrow end of the scarf, whereby the fifth fastening element or fifth fastening strip and the sixth fastening element or sixth fastening strip can be reversibly connected to one another. In this way, even better protection of the user's front section is achieved.

Suitable fastening elements include buttons and buttonholes or rivet or loop fasteners, and suitable fastening strips include Velcro fasteners, in particular adhesive tape and/or loop tape, or zippers.

The hat of the scarf/hat combination according to the invention can, for example, be a bobble hat or a cap.

Finally, the invention provides that the scarf and/or the hat comprise at least some areas of a wool, cotton and/or synthetic fiber material.

The present invention was therefore based on the surprising discovery that a scarf and a hat can be temporarily or permanently connected to one another in such a way that the head, ears, neck, and shoulders are protected from the cold and the weather without the user having to constantly ensure that a section of the head and/or neck between a hat and a scarf is exposed and exposed to wind and weather. Another particular advantage is that the scarf/hat combination can also be joined together below the chin, which means that the entire neck area remains protected from drafts. By choosing the length and width of the scarf, the entire front of the user can also be protected from wind and cold. By providing a handle pocket, particularly in the area of the scarf ends, there is no need to carry gloves separately.

Figure 1 shows the wearer of a scarf/hat combination 1 according to the invention in a side view. As can be seen from the figure, the scarf 2 is attached to the back of the hat 4. Velcro fasteners are preferably used for this, with a first Velcro fastener strip 8 located on the rear edge 6 of the hat 4. A Velcro fastener strip 10, the dimensions of which essentially correspond to the first Velcro fastener strip 8, is attached along the longitudinal edge 12 of the scarf 2. Velcro fasteners usually comprise an adhesive tape and a loop tape as complementary components. In the present case, according to one embodiment, the adhesive tape can represent the Velcro fastener strip 8 and the loop tape can represent the Velcro fastener strip 10. Of course, the reverse constellation is also possible. The adhesive tape is preferably attached to the hat or is an integral part of it. In order to make handling of the scarf/hat combination 1 easier, this second Velcro fastener 10 is located in a preferred embodiment approximately in a central position between the two ends 14 and 16 of the scarf 2. In a particularly preferred embodiment, the entire scarf or a section of the scarf is made of a material that is equivalent to or close to that of a fleece tape in its effect on an adhesive tape. In this case, the scarf itself already provides or represents the Velcro fastener component 10, so that the attachment of a separate Velcro fastener tape can be dispensed with. For this preferred case, fleece, for example, is a suitable material.

Furthermore, it has proven to be particularly advantageous if the scarf 2 has a width which, when the scarf is connected to the hat 4, reaches down to the shoulders of the wearer. It is also advantageous if the first Velcro fastener 8 is guided far enough around the rear area of the hat 4 that the scarf attached to this Velcro fastener can also cover the ears of the wearer. Since a pocket 18 and 20 is provided on the top of the scarf in each end section, the chest and stomach area of the wearer can be specifically covered by the scarf 2. In addition, the wearer's hands are protected from the cold and wind.

As can be seen from Figure 2, the protective function of the scarf/hat combination 1 is further increased by the fact that on the long edge of the scarf, to which the second Velcro fastener 10 is also attached, there are also third and fourth Velcro fasteners 22 and 24, which serve to hold the scarf together below the chin. The third and fourth Velcro fasteners 22 and 24 are preferably attached at the same distance from the opposite long ends of the second Velcro fastener 10 in order to ensure a symmetrical division of the scarf 2 into two equal halves. Of course, further fifth and sixth Velcro fasteners can be attached along the opposing sections of the long edge 12 of the scarf 2 in order to close the scarf tightly like a jacket or vest. This can of course also be done with other suitable fastening systems, such as rivets, zippers or buttons.

The ability to combine the scarf and hat elements, particularly via reversible fastening systems, also allows you to adapt to fashion trends and exchange either the scarf or hat for components of a different color or made of a different material. It has proven particularly advantageous to take the scarf/hat combination according to the invention with you to outdoor events in order to be adequately protected if the weather conditions deteriorate. If the weather conditions make the use of the scarf/hat combination unnecessary, the scarf/hat combination can be used on these occasions.
