Gerade bei Schwibbogen wurde frühzeitig erkannt, dass die Motivplatte bei Benutzung der Lichtquellen stets im Dunkeln liegt, da sich diese unterhalb der Fassungen der Lichtquellen befindet. Es bedurfte deshalb immer einer Fremdlichtquelle, sollte die Motivplatte wahrnehmbar sein.
