Abstract

A container with standard ISO dimensions and may be mounted on a conventional truck or trailer chassis. The container consists of unfolding sections which, when extended, form a mobile exhibition, offices, workshop or temporary residential accommodation.

Collapsible living/exhibition container that meets the requirements of a conventional container when transported.

Typical residential containers have a base plate, a ceiling plate, two front ends and two side panels. They can be partially extended or folded to increase the usable space.

Such containers are used as temporary offices, emergency housing, exhibition rooms, mobile homes.

In previous developments,

• the usable space is only slightly larger than the base area of the container in the transport state, or

• the desired space expansion requires additional equipment, e.g. cranes and lifting machines, additional means of transport, or

• the room closure is created by a stretched material without insulating or soundproofing effect.

The invention specified in claim 1 is based on the problem of creating a living/exhibition container which is no larger than a conventional container when transported and which meets all the requirements of a container that can be transported worldwide. To create a living/exhibition room resulting from the container which is at least five times larger than the base area of the container, whose clear room height is at least 15 cm higher than the external height of a conventional container, whose room-enclosing wall elements meet sound/heat insulation and burglar-proofing requirements, and which represent a moving living space in the sense of a habitable and visually enlivenable space.

This problem is solved with the features listed in claim 1.

The invention ensures that the container can be stored in a small space and transported like any conventional container. Its usable area is more than fivefold and thus the transport costs are comparatively lower than those of a comparable usable area, and the resulting space meets a high degree of aesthetics.

When the container is pushed together as shown in Fig.l, the lifting supports (01) are located in the middle of the chassis. They are hooked into the ISO corners of the container and lift it by at least 50 cm (Fig.02-03).

In this upper end position, the upper part of the chassis remains locked. The stair elements on the front sides are released. The lifting supports move down the lower part of the chassis (02) as shown in Fig.03.

After the substructure (03) has been extended (Fig.04), the supports (05) attached to the extending longitudinal beams (04) are lowered to the ground to level the substructure (03).

The floor and ceiling elements slide apart on the secondary beams to form a surface and are locked in the final position.

Fig.07 shows how the pushed together wall elements are moved into position using a rail system.

Fig. 10 shows a cross-section through the packed container in which all mentioned components can be seen in their resting position.

Claims (1)

Collapsible living/exhibition container which, in transport condition, meets the requirements of a conventional container, characterized in that - that in the ISO corners suspended lifting supports (01), first lift the container, lock it in the upper end position, and lower the lower part of the chassis (02) - that a substructure (03) integrated on both sides in the lower and upper chassis frame extends horizontally, transversely to the longitudinal direction, to whose extending longitudinal beams (04) further supports (05) are attached, which transfer both the ceiling and the floor loads. - that secondary beams (06) are hung in the frames created by folding out between the two longitudinal beams and the lateral folding elements of the substructure, which are located between the substructure and the chassis longitudinal beams in the transport state. - that the floor/ceiling elements (07/08) sliding on/at the supports extend out, which when depositioned form a complete surface. - that the room-enclosing wall elements (09) are composed of at least two parts - that the room-dividing wall elements ( 10 ) are composed of at least two parts - that the roof skin ( 11 ) is stretched over the roof beams, - that all materials required to build the residential container are in the container during transport.
