Training wall for football players

The invention relates to a training wall for football players, which is formed by at least two
rectangular, square, side by side connectable, on a playing field to
erected wall parts which are separated from an area A in front of the surfaces of the

The training wall according to the invention has the task of allowing individual football players or a team to train with the ball against the training wall, i.e. without the need for an opposing team. The basic structure of the training wall 1 according to the invention can be seen from the line drawing shown in Fig. 1. Rectangular or square wall parts ai, a2,... a _n are connected to one another along their vertical side edges in such a way that, when viewed from the direction of view A, they form obtuse angles αδ, OC2..., a _n with one another. This results in a playing field A with essentially a concave boundary when viewed from the direction of view A.

The outer edges of the outer wall parts ai and a” are connected to further wall parts ei and C2 respectively. These wall parts Cj and C2 form obtuse angles ßi and p2 with the wall parts ai and a” respectively, when viewed from the direction B. This defines a field B opposite the playing field A, which is divided by the wall parts gi, g2..., g _n which protrude from the connecting points of the wall parts ai _; a2, a^ _t .... an-i, an into the area B. This results in further playing fields bi^^-.bn on the back of the wall parts ai, ..a” which are delimited by the wall parts ei, ai, gi or gi, a2, g2 etc.

From this construction it is clear that by erecting the training wall according to the invention on a playing field, this is divided into numerous sub-playing fields in which either a team, e.g. in the playing field limited by the wall surfaces ai,

a ₂ , a _n or individual players can train e.g. in one of the playing fields bi^.,.... b„.

The design of the training wall 1 with the special structural features explained below can be seen from the embodiment shown in plan view in Fig. 2.

The training wall 2 shown here consists of a total of 7 rectangular or square wall sections. The wall sections 3 and 4 or 4 and 5 are connected to each other at an obtuse angle along their vertical side edges when viewed from the direction of A. The wall sections 6 and 7 are connected to their free side edges. The angle formed between the wall sections 6 and 3 or 5 and 7 is also obtuse-angled when viewed from the direction of B. Starting from the angle connections of the wall sections 3 and 4 or 4 and 5, a right-angled vertical wall section 8 or 9 protrudes into the rear room B. This special structure of the training wall 2 results in a large playing field 10 in area A and three further playing fields 11, 12 and 13 in room B.

However, the training wall according to the invention not only has the task of enabling a large number of individual training fields on a larger playing field, but its special design is also intended to create the possibility of reflecting balls played against the wall in all possible unpredictable directions in order to train the players' reaction ability.

It has proven to be expedient to provide the wall parts 1 to 9 with impact bodies 15a,b,16a,b,17,18 which are distributed irregularly on the wall surfaces and protrude above the surface of the wall parts. The impact bodies 15a,b and 16a,b have a drop-shaped form, that is to say a shape which tapers either from top to bottom or from bottom to top. The impact bodies 17 are frustoconical.

Fig. 7 shows the front view of the wall surface 4 from the direction of view A, on which three such drop-shaped impact bodies 15a, 16a, b are arranged. Fig. 7 also shows the wall surface 5 with impact bodies 17 in the form of a conical longitudinal section. The shape of the impact bodies is not limited to these two embodiments. All surfaces that change the angle of reflection of the "wall for an impacting ball

are equally suitable for this purpose. Fig. 8 shows the wall surface 4 from the direction of view B. ^

Another way to vary the angle of reflection, but at the same time to increase the stability of the training wall, is to use inclined surfaces in the form of base surfaces or base bodies 14a...14i. As can be seen from Fig. 7 in combination with Fig. 3, a sectional view along the line 2...2 of Fig. 2, the surface of the base bodies 14c, 14g runs diagonally outwards and downwards from a straight line running across and parallel to the upper edge of the wall surface and ends on the playing field. In the example shown, the base bodies 14f and 14i are attached to the wall surfaces 6 and 7 along a straight line running diagonally downwards across the surface of the wall parts 6 and 7. See Fig. 12.

As additional reflecting surfaces, angle bodies e.g. 18a,b can be arranged in the corner areas of the upper side edges of the wall parts 6 and 3, 3 and 8, 4 and 8, 4 and 9, 5 and 9, 5 and 7, whose surfaces run diagonally downwards and have the function of reflecting the striking ball downwards into the playing field. The arrangement of such bodies 18a,b is chosen arbitrarily and can be present either only in a few selected corners or in all corner connections.

In the example, a further special feature is provided for the wall part 4 to change and improve the reflection of the wall part, but this could also be present on any of the other wall parts. As can be seen from the sectional view along the lines 2...2 and 4...4 of Fig. 2 in Fig. 3 and Fig. 5, the upper area of the wall part 4 is aligned at an obtuse angle at an angle γ to the area A.

This measure also serves to reflect the incoming ball back into the playing field.

The training wall can be made of cast in situ concrete or preferably made of precast concrete. However, it is also possible to use other materials suitable for the respective purpose, which can be connected together to create the desired training wall. Claims (9)

1. Training wall for football players, characterized by at least two rectangular, square wall parts (a ₁ , a ₂ , . . . a _n ) which can be connected to one another next to one another and are to be erected vertically on a playing field and which are connected to one another at an obtuse angle (a ₁ , a ₂ , . . . a _n ) as seen from an area A in front of the surfaces of the wall parts. 2. Training wall for football players, characterized in that a further wall part (C1, C2) is connected to the vertically running free outer edge of the first and/or the last of the interconnected wall parts (a ₁ , a ₂ ,), which further wall part (C1, C2) forms with one of the said wall parts (a ₁ , a ₂ ,) an obtuse angle ( _β1 , β2), as seen from the field area A opposite area B lying behind the wall parts (a 1 , a ₂ , . . . a _n ). 3. Training wall for football players according to claim 1 or 2, characterized in that a further vertical, rectangular wall part ( 8 , 9 ) which projects into the region B is connected to at least one connecting edge of the wall parts (a ₁ , a ₂ , . . . a _n ) arranged next to one another and connected to one another. 4. Training wall for football players according to one of the preceding claims, characterized in that in at least one of the wall parts ( 4 ) the upper region runs at an obtuse angle (y) to the floor surface. 5. Training wall for football players according to one of the preceding claims, characterized in that in at least one of the wall parts, a base wall surface ( 14 a . . . 14 a,) is arranged along a straight line running horizontally or obliquely across the wall surface to its lower edge, which base wall surface projects from the straight line at an obtuse angle into the area A and/or into the area B, and that the free edge of the base wall is at the same height as the support surface of the wall parts - (a ₁ . . . a _n ). 6. Training wall for football players according to one of the preceding claims, characterized in that the wall parts have irregularly distributed surface areas (15a, b, 16a, b, 17) projecting beyond the surface. 7. Training wall for football players according to claim 6, characterized in that the surface areas projecting beyond the surface have an approximately drop-shaped (15a, b, 16a, b) or conical longitudinal section ( 17 ) shape. 8. Training wall for football players according to one of the preceding claims, characterized in that angle surface pieces ( 18 ) are arranged in the upper edges of the angle connection areas of the wall parts ( 3 , 4 , 5 , 6 , 7 ). 9. Training wall for football players, characterized in that the wall parts and/or the surface areas projecting beyond the surface of the wall parts (15a, b, 16a b, 17, 18) are manufactured as individual parts and can be connected to one another by plug-in connections.
