Abstract

Each of the trestles is assembled of two leg units (11) joined with a horizontal frame part (1). The leg units (11) are made of two slightly slanted legs (12) joined with a short horizontal bar at a small distance below their upper ends (14). The horizontal frame part (1) is provided with a u-shaped recess with a rounded bottom at both ends (2) for the insertion of the short horizontal bar. A u-shaped element is positioned upside down on top of the short bar and fixed with a threaded bolt guided through a central hole in the element and the bar. A cap (8) is attached to the front. Several trestles can be used serving as stands according to the size of the tabletop.

Zur Erhöhung der Standfestigkeit des Tischbocks 10 sind beide Beine 12, wie insbesondere der Fig. 4 entnommen werden kann, zueinander um einen Winkel &agr; divergierend ausgerichtet, wobei der Abstand zwischen den Beinen 12 zum Boden hin zunimmt. Im gezeigten Ausführungsbeispiel beträgt der Winkel &agr; etwa 10°. Ferner ist zur Erhöhung der Standfestigkeit die Mittelachse M der zueinander fluchtenden Bohrungen 16, 17 im Querzapfen 3 bzw. im U-Profil 15 um einen Winkel &ggr; zur Horizontalen bzw. zu der von beiden Beinen 12 aufgespannten Ebene (&ggr; + 90°) geneigt, so dass im Anschlusszustand die Beine 12 beider Beinpaare 11 sich ausgehend von den Enden 2 des Querträgers 1 um den Winkel &ggr; nach außen erstrecken. Claims

1. Table trestle with two support devices spaced apart from one another, each having at least two legs connected to one another at a common leg node and extending to the floor, the support devices being connected to a cross member, characterized in that all legs ( 12 ) of a support device ( 11 ) are connected to one another in a movement-proof, preferably rigid, manner via the leg node, that the leg node of at least one support device ( 11 ) is pivotally connected to the cross member ( 1 ), and that a locking means ( 8 ) is provided for the pivotally connected leg node, which fixes the leg node to the cross member ( 1 ) in a movement-proof manner.

2. Table trestle according to claim 1, characterized in that both support devices ( 11 ) are pivotally connected to the cross member ( 1 ) and can be fixed to the cross member ( 1 ) by means of an associated locking means ( 8 ).

3. Table trestle according to claim 2, characterized in that both support devices ( 11 ) are detachably connected to the cross member ( 1 ).

4. Table trestle according to one of claims 1 to 3, characterized in that the cross member ( 1 ) consists of a hollow profile and that the locking means ( 8 ) preferably simultaneously forms a flush end cap for the open end ( 2 ) of the hollow profile.

12. Table trestle according to one of claims 1 to 11, characterized in that the legs ( 12 ) are straight or bent and/or adjusting glides can be screwed into the underside of the legs ( 12 ) for changing the height of the table trestle ( 10 ).
