Referring to Fig. 1, a polishing wheel 1 consists essentially

Polishing disc made of foamed material with an upper side directed towards the object to be polished and having a polishing surface and with an underside connectable to a rotation device, characterized by the upper side ( 2 ) which has at least one channel ( 5 ) which is open to the upper side ( 2 ) and is designed to run from a central region ( 7 ) of the polishing disc ( 1 ) in the direction of the edge of the polishing disc ( 1 ). 2. Polishing disc according to claim 1, characterized by several star-shaped channels ( 5 ). 3. Polishing disc according to claim 1 or 2, characterized by the channel or channels ( 5 ) which are curved in their longitudinal extension. 4. Polishing disc according to one of the preceding claims, characterized by the channel or channels ( 5 ) which are tapered at their ends. 5. Polishing disc according to one of the preceding claims 1 to 3, characterized by the channel(s) which are blunt in their ends. 6. Polishing disc according to one of the preceding claims, characterized by the channel or channels ( 5 ) which are closed at their end facing the polishing disc edge. 7. Polishing disc according to one of the preceding claims, characterized by a central region ( 7 ) of the upper side of the polishing disc, which is recessed relative to the polishing surface and into which one or more channels are formed. 8. Polishing disc according to one of the preceding claims, characterized by the polishing surface ( 4 ) of the polishing disc ( 1 ) which is larger than the area occupied by the channel(s) ( 5 ). 9. Polishing disc according to one of the preceding claims, characterized by the polishing surface ( 4 ) which is made of microfiber material. 10. Polishing disc according to one of the preceding claims, characterized by the polishing disc ( 1 ) consisting of foam. 11. Polishing disc according to one of the preceding claims, characterized by the spiral-shaped channel(s).
