Abstract

The device (20) is assembled of two vertical pipes (22) and a number of horizontally positioned pipes (32) swivel mounted (23, 24) to the vertical stands (22). Each of the horizontal pipes (32) is fitted with a row of short pipes (21) protruding horizontally from the front of the device (20) and provided with hooks (56) at their outer ends. The pipes (20, 21, 32) are connected to the heating system and filled with hot water (34) in order to dry or heat the clothes or other items attached to the short bars (21). When a larger item like a dress or a coat is hung to one of the upper bars (21, 32), the lower transversal pipes (32) can be rotated (33) in order to provide the required space.

ROD TUBE HEATING

The invention relates to a heating device with several rod-shaped heating tubes which are firmly connected to a heating tube carrier at a distance from one another and which are intended for heating and/or drying objects, for example ski boots.

Such heating devices have become generally known as shoe and boot dryers. Several rigid heating pipes can be mounted rigidly on a wall or on a mobile flat heating pipe support. Warm air can be supplied to the heating pipes via an electric warm air blower, which can exit through one or more openings in the heating pipes. The use and application area of such heating devices is limited due to their design. Electric heating is expensive.

Accordingly, it is an object of the invention to provide a heating device which enables a wider range of applications and uses.

This object is achieved according to the invention by the features of claim 1, in particular in that the

Heating pipes are connected to the heating pipe support via a swivel joint, which allows the heating pipes to be pivoted about a rotation axis.

These measures, which appear relatively simple, open up a multitude of additional uses and applications with a single heating device. In addition to heating and/or drying shoes and boots, such a heating device can also be used as a heated clothes rack, heated towel rail,

k holder and/or as a heated storage shelf, for example for drying fruit, if necessary after placing a perforated sheet on the heating pipes.

Due to the advantageous pivoting ability of the heating pipes, favorable accessibility conditions and drying options specifically adapted to the user's needs can be achieved.

According to an advantageous embodiment, a fixing means for fixing the heating pipes in at least one pivoting position can be provided.

It is particularly advantageous if water is used as a heat carrier to heat the heating pipes. This is because water as a heat carrier in the form of heating water is usually easily and relatively inexpensively available in houses, so that special and/or additional heating devices are not required.

Particularly advantageous uses and applications can be created in this way. If the axis of rotation is arranged horizontally, so that the heating pipes can be pivoted in a vertical plane.

By pivoting the preferably free heating pipe ends downwards, space can be created for using the heating device as a clothes rack for items of clothing of different lengths. If the heating pipes are aligned horizontally, various objects can be advantageously arranged on or above the heating pipes for heating and/or drying these objects. Such arrangements are advantageous, for example, when drying towels or when drying flat items.

The possibility of pivoting the heating pipes downwards means that they can be conveniently and easily vented when water is used to heat the heating pipes.

It is also advantageous if several heating pipes are firmly connected to a heating pipe holder, which in turn is connected to the heating pipe support via at least one swivel joint, which enables the heating pipe holder to be pivoted together with the heating pipes assigned to it. This creates favorable modification options for different areas of application and ensures economical handling.

It is useful if an elongated heating pipe holder is connected to a heating pipe support at each of its two ends via a swivel joint. In this way, a stable and durable construction is achieved while creating a large number of individual and/or surface heating options.

The heating device 20 shown in Fig. 1 and 2 is designed here with two stands 22, also referred to as heating tube supports. In the embodiment shown, these are each designed as an elongated, straight square tube. A plurality of heating tube holders 32 are pivotably connected to the two stands 22, which are arranged vertically and parallel to one another.

These heating pipe holders 32 are arranged parallel to one another and at approximately equal distances from one another. Each heating pipe holder 32 is designed as a pipe that is open on both sides and is connected at its two ends 36, 37 via a swivel joint 23, 24 to the respective heating pipe support or stand 22 in such a way that each heating pipe holder 32 can be pivoted about a horizontal axis of rotation 25.

Each heating pipe holder 32 is provided with a plurality of straight heating pipes 21, each of which is rigidly connected to the heating pipe holder 32 by its fastening end 44 and whose free end 43 is closed to the outside. The heating pipes 21 are designed to be open towards the passage of the respective heating pipe holder 32 so that they can be filled with heating water 34. The heating pipes 21 assigned to each heating pipe holder 32 are, as can be seen from Fig. 1, arranged here at equal horizontal distances parallel to one another and extend outwards from the heating pipe holder 32 perpendicular to it. In the embodiment shown, five heating pipes 21 are assigned to each heating pipe holder 32, whereby

^ these parts each form a register which can be pivoted about the axis of rotation 25. Thus, the heating tubes 21 each assigned to a heating tube holder 32 can be pivoted together in a vertical plane 31 upwards or downwards according to the double arrow 57 in Fig. 2.

In the pivoted position shown in Fig. 1 and 2, all registers and consequently all heating pipes 21 are arranged horizontally and consequently parallel to each other. However, it is understood that each shelf or register consisting of a heating pipe holder 32 and the

associated heating pipes 21 can be pivoted independently of one another into the pivoting positions desired by the users, for example into an upper pivoting position 27 or into a lower pivoting position 28, the angular positions of which are indicated in Figure 2 only by way of example with dashed lines. It is also understood that the heating pipes 21 can also be pivoted completely downwards or upwards, i.e. into the vertical plane formed by the heating pipe supports or stands 22.

As shown in Fig. 1 and in particular in Fig. 2 using the example of the heating pipes 21 of the upper two registers, the heating pipes 21 can preferably be provided with a hook 56 at their free ends 43. Clothes, for example, can be hung on this and, depending on their length, heating pipes 21 arranged underneath can then be pivoted downwards in order to create a corresponding free space for hanging the clothes.

The heating device 20 is in the embodiment shown in the figures as a pipe

^ Water heating. This means that the heating pipes 21 in particular are heated by externally heated water 34. Heating water is preferably suitable for this, as is easily and regularly available in all types of houses with hot water pipes. The heating device 20 can advantageously be integrated into an existing heating circuit in a simple manner.

To set the desired temperature, the heating device 20 can be provided with a thermostat valve 40. Furthermore, it can be provided that each register, with its heating tubes 21 assigned to a heating tube holder 32,

can be closed or opened independently of one another by a shut-off valve 41.

In the selected embodiment, the heating water 34 can flow through an inlet 38 into the heating pipe support 22 designed as a pipe and from there into the outwardly open pipe of the heating pipe holder 32. The water 34 can leave the heating pipe holder 32 at its opposite end 37 into the second heating pipe support 22 and from there flow out of the outlet 39.

In Fig. 3 and 4, the structural conditions in the area of the swivel joints 23 and 24 are shown in more detail. The swivel joint 23 consists of a tubular bearing part 45, which is designed here as a rotating part. This bearing part 45 extends with a pipe part with a reduced diameter across the square tube of the heating pipe support 22 and is screwed to the heating pipe support 22 from the outside by a suitable threaded flange. The threaded flange forms part of a conventional shut-off valve 41, the sealing element of which can be moved in the direction of the stop 48 to shut off the bore 47. In the open position of the shut-off valve 41 shown in Fig. 3, the water 34 can flow through the bore 46 into the valve chamber of the shut-off valve 41 and from there through the bore 47 into the bearing tube 49, which is firmly connected to the heating pipe holder 32, here by welding. The bearing tube 49 is mounted in the bearing part 45 so that it can rotate about the horizontal axis of rotation 25. An annular seal 50 is provided to seal the gap between the bearing tube 49 and the bearing part 45. A further annular seal 51 serves to seal the gap area between the bearing part 45 and the outer wall of the heating tube support 22.

As can also be seen from Fig. 3, the bearing part 45 is provided with an internal thread or a threaded sleeve 52 into which a suitably designed thread 52 of a threaded screw serving as a fixing means 29 can be screwed.

The threaded sleeve is designed to be open towards the bearing tube 49, so that the threaded screw serving as a fixing means 29 can be brought into contact with the bearing tube 49 with its end pointing towards the bearing tube 49. In this way, the heating tube holder 32 can be fixed together with the

. associated heating pipes 21 can be fixed in any pivoting position or at any angle of rotation about the axis of rotation 25.

As can be seen from Fig. 4, each heating pipe holder 32 also has a bearing pipe 55 at its other end 37, which in turn is rigidly connected, here by welding, to the other heating pipe holder 32 shown on the left in Fig. 1. Consequently, the water 34 flowing through the heating pipe holder 32 can leave it through the bearing pipe 55 and from there flow through a hole 58 in the second heating pipe support 22 into its square tube. The ring seal 54 is provided to seal the gap between the bearing pipe 55 and the tubular bearing part 53 connected to the second stand 22.

To vent the heating device 20, the registers or the heating pipes 21 can be pivoted downwards with their free ends so that any air bubbles in the heating pipes 21 can rise upwards, i.e. against gravity. These air bubbles are

of the water 34 initially moves to the left due to the flow, i.e. into the stand 22 shown on the left in Fig. 1 and then migrate upwards in this against the force of gravity to the upper end of this stand 22. There, a central vent 42 is provided, which enables the system to be vented.

Claims (7)

Heating device with several rod-shaped heating tubes which are firmly connected to a heating tube carrier at a distance from one another and which are intended for heating and/or drying objects, for example ski boots, characterized in that the heating tubes 21 are connected to the heating tube carrier 22 via a rotary joint 23 , 24 which enables the heating tubes to be pivoted about an axis of rotation 25 . 2. Heating device according to claim 1, characterized in that a fixing means 29 is provided for fixing the heating tubes 21 in at least one pivot position 26 , 27 , 28 . 3. Heating device according to claim 1 or 2, characterized in that water 34 serves as the heat carrier for heating the heating tubes 21 . 4. Heating device according to one of claims 1 to 3, characterized in that the axis of rotation 25 is arranged horizontally, so that pivoting of the heating tubes 21 in a vertical plane 31 is possible. 5. Heating device according to one of claims 1 to 4, characterized in that a plurality of heating tubes 21 are firmly connected to a heating tube holder 32 which is connected to the heating tube support 22 via at least one swivel joint 23 , 24 which enables the heating tube holder 32 to be pivoted together with the heating tubes 21 assigned to it. 6. Heating device according to claim 5, characterized in that the elongated heating tube holder 32 is connected at its two ends 36 , 37 via a swivel joint 24 , 25 to a heating tube carrier 22 . 7. Heating device according to one of claims 1 to 6, characterized in that several heating tubes 21 are arranged in a common horizontal plane 33 .
