Abstract

Description

State of the art:

These workshop folders are welded from PVC foil (approx. 200 to 300 my thick) and reinforced with gray cardboard (between 1.0 and 1.5 mm) (layer PVC + layer gray cardboard + layer PVC), on the front there is a PVC transparent pocket (foil thickness approx. 140 to 180 my) is welded on for the workshop order and a pocket for the car key (also made of PVC foil with a foil thickness of 140 to 180 my) is welded on to the back with the help of a strap the pocket for the car key, this pocket and the pocket on the front are closed with the help of a Velcro fastener. In addition, the folder has 2 welded holes at the top so that the folder can be hung up with a cord.

problems:

• 1) Die Haltbarkeit der Werkstattmappe ist stark eingeschränkt, da 2 Schichten der PVC-Folie (dazwischen die Graupappenverstärkung) am Rand verschweißt werden und somit die Schweißnähte relativ schnell aufplatzen können
• 2) Wenn eine Werkstattmappe herunterfällt (z.B. auf einen Fußboden) und dabei genau eine Spitze der Werkstattmappe auf den Boden aufschlägt, dann können Eselsohren an der Mappe entstehen und auch ein Aufplatzen der Schweißnähte ist sehr wahrscheinlich
• 3) Die Belastung der Schweißnähte der Vordertasche und Rücktasche sind durch das ständige auf und zu machen sehr hoch und somit können diese Schweißnähte aufplatzen
• 4) Es ist immer zu berücksichtigen, dass diese Art von Mappen im täglichen Werkstattalltag gebraucht werden und dann nicht sehr rücksichtsvoll mit diesen Mappen umgegangen wird.

This approach creates the following problems:

• 1) The durability of the workshop folder is severely limited, as 2 layers of PVC film (the gray cardboard reinforcement in between) are welded at the edge and the weld seams can therefore burst relatively quickly
• 2) If a workshop folder falls down (e.g. on a floor) and one point of the workshop folder hits the ground, the folder can be dog-eared and the weld seams are very likely to burst open
• 3) The stress on the welds of the front pocket and back pocket is very high due to the constant opening and closing, and these welds can burst open
• 4) It must always be taken into account that these types of folders are used in everyday workshop work and are then not handled very considerately with these folders.

Solving the problems:

In our invention, 2 sheets of polypropylene (approx. 900 my thick) are sewn together. These panels are made from a very strong and durable material (can't be dog-eared and much stronger material compared to the PVC folder) and therefore no chipboard is needed for reinforcement. The sewing also means that no weld seam is required and accordingly no weld seam can burst open. In addition, the sewn seam is also much more robust compared to a welded seam and it is therefore almost impossible for this seam to break in everyday use. The left and the lower side of the front pocket made of PP film (180 my thick) are welded on the back. Welding on the back creates a lower stress on the weld when opening (compared to welding on the front) and thus a longer life of the weld is guaranteed. A hole is punched out at the top left and right of the workshop folder so that this workshop folder can be hung up with the help of a cord. On the back of the folder, the car key pocket is pushed between the two PP plates with the help of 3 slots and welded on the inside. Again, there is much less stress on the bag's welds when it is opened compared to a normal weld like the PVC version. The car key pocket can be closed with the help of a flap with Velcro. This flap with Velcro then also closes the pocket on the front at the same time.
