Eine bekannte Befestigungsvorrichtung besteht aus einem quaderförmigen Metallkörper mit einem an seiner Unterseite eingelassenen Schlitz. Der Querschnitt des Metallkörpers hat dadurch die Gestalt eines auf den Kopf stehenden U's. In einem der Blechwinkel ist mindestens eine Gewindebohrung eingelassen, in welche eine Madenschraube eindrehbar ist. Der Klemmkörper wird von oben auf einem Vertikalfalz aufgesteckt und mit der mindestens einen als Klemmschraube dienenden Madenschraube festgeklemmt. Die Haltekraft dieser bekannten Vorrichtung genügt den an Sie gestellten Anforderungen. Sie hat jedoch einen grossen Nachteil, weil durch das Verklemmen mit der Madenschraube, die sich im Vertikalfalz überlappenden Teile der beiden benachbarten Bleche zusammengepresst und dadurch die Dilatation der beiden aneinander stossenden Bleche behindert oder gar verunmöglicht wird.
