Im Messebau werden z.B. Schienensysteme verwendet, um Messestände aufzubauen. Bei solchen Systemen ist der Montageaufwand hoch und die Anzahl der erforderlichen Zubehörteile ebenfalls. Die Kontaktflächen zwischen 2 Elementen sind in der Regel klein, wodurch eine hohe Belastung mit Torsions- oder Scherkräften nicht genügend abgefangen wird.
- Gruppe 2: Andere Systeme sehen die Möglichkeit vor, an einer beliebigen Stelle eines Strangprofils eine Gewindeschraube einzudrehen, ohne vorzubohren. Dabei kann man auf die bei Gruppe 1 erforderlichen extra Montageelemente (Ausformung/Nase etc.) verzichten. Diese Systeme sind zwar schnell zu montieren, haben aber den Nachteil, dass die Sicherung mittels Gewindeschraube bei statisch höheren Belastungen leicht ausreißt.
