Device for collecting and transporting waste

The present invention relates to a device for collecting and transporting waste.

Waste or garbage disposal requires the separation of different types of waste or garbage. It is therefore necessary to collect paper products, old glass, compostable waste (organic waste), recyclable plastics, etc. separately and to dispose of them.

Waste is first collected in smaller containers, then placed in garbage cans, containers or the like and then transported using appropriate vehicles, for example, to landfills, waste incineration plants or the like.

At the beginning of this chain is the collection and separation of waste where it is generated, i.e. in households, businesses, restaurants, hospitals, etc.

In the household sector, garbage cans are usually used to collect waste for further transport. In the commercial sector, correspondingly larger containers are usually used to collect correspondingly larger quantities of waste.

In both cases, the waste is initially stored in smaller containers in the home, workplace or similar over a longer period of time. These containers are then placed in garbage cans, containers or similar.

The present invention is based on the object of creating a device for collecting and transporting waste, by means of which the separate collection and transport of waste to a garbage can, a container or the like is simplified.

The solution to this problem is that the device consists of a container provided with at least two running wheels on the bottom and with at least two receiving chambers that are separate from each other and open at the top for receiving bag-like or pouch-like containers for waste.

The device according to the invention offers considerable advantages in practice.

First of all, bag-like containers for waste can be placed in the various chambers of the container, into which the corresponding waste can then be filled. Depending on the size of the containers, it is possible to collect and temporarily store several days' worth of waste. Once the containers are mostly full, they can be easily emptied without any major

It can be transported to a garbage can, container or the like and emptied there without any great effort by moving the entire device.

Individual, bag-like or pouch-like containers no longer have to be carried individually to a garbage can or container, but can be conveniently transported to the containers mentioned.

The particularly advantageous embodiment of the invention consists in that the container as a whole is box-shaped and is provided with at least one intermediate wall to form at least two receiving chambers.

Such a box-shaped container offers a stable receptacle for corresponding bag-like containers, which can easily be supported on the walls of the container. There is therefore no longer a need to hold a bag-like container in an open position with one hand and fill the container with the corresponding waste with the other hand. Handling when filling the containers is therefore made much easier.

Once the containers are full, they are transported as a whole with all their equipment to a garbage can or container. The containers can then be individually removed from the receiving chambers and filled into a garbage can or container.

Advantageously, the outer walls and the partition wall(s) can be folded together to the size of the floor area.

This offers the advantage that the entire device can be folded up and stored away to save space when not in use.

This device 1 essentially consists of a container 3 provided with at least two running wheels 2 on the bottom and with at least two receiving chambers 4 that are separate from one another and open at the top.

These receiving chambers 4 serve to receive bag-like or pouch-like containers 5, which may optionally be equipped with handles 6 or the like.

The containers 5 serve to collect waste, whereby the various receiving chambers 4 with the containers 5 inserted therein offer the possibility of separate waste disposal. For example, one of the receiving chambers 4 or the container 5 located therein can be used to collect paper, another receiving chamber 4 or the container 5 located therein can be used to collect glass waste. Of course, the device can also have more than two receiving chambers 4 in total.

As Figure 1 in particular clearly shows, the container 3 is box-shaped overall and is provided with at least one intermediate wall 7 to form two receiving chambers 4. If the container 3 is to have more than two receiving chambers 4 in total, a corresponding number of intermediate walls 7 are to be provided.

Advantageously, the outer walls and the intermediate wall or walls 7 can be folded together to the size of the floor area 8, as Figure 2 shows particularly clearly.

A handle 10 is provided on an outer wall to facilitate the movement of the entire device 1.

The outer walls and the intermediate wall or walls 7 are equipped with joints 9 which are locked in the position of use and which, once unlocked, make it possible to fold the entire container 3 to the size of the base surface 8.

The outer walls and the partition wall or walls 7 can consist of self-contained panel elements, but it is also possible to form these components from grid-like panel elements.

The open top of the receiving chambers 4 can be covered by a common cover (not shown in the drawings) or by individual covers per receiving chamber 4, independently of one another.

The handle 10 can be designed as a sliding latch which can be folded into a use position protruding obliquely from the outer wall and into a non-use position adjacent to the outer wall, as shown in Figures 1 and 2.

Claims (9)

1. Device for collecting and transporting waste, characterized in that the device ( 1 ) consists of a container ( 3 ) provided with at least two running wheels ( 2 ) on the bottom and with at least two receiving chambers ( 4 ) separate from one another and open at the top for receiving bag-like or pouch-like containers ( 5 ) for waste. 2. Device according to claim 1, characterized in that the container ( 3 ) is box-shaped overall and is provided with at least one intermediate wall ( 7 ) for forming at least two receiving chambers ( 4 ). 3. Device according to claim 1 or 2, characterized in that the outer walls and the intermediate wall or walls ( 7 ) can be folded together to the size of the floor area ( 8 ). 4. Device according to one of the preceding claims, characterized in that a handle ( 8 ) is provided on an outer wall to facilitate the movement of the device ( 1 ). 5. Device according to one of the preceding claims, characterized in that the outer walls and the intermediate wall or walls ( 7 ) are provided with joints ( 9 ) which are blocked in the position of use. 6. Device according to one of the preceding claims, characterized in that the floor and/or the outer walls and/or the intermediate wall or walls ( 7 ) consist of self-contained plate elements. 7. Device according to one of claims 1-5, characterized in that the floor and/or the outer walls and/or the intermediate wall or walls ( 7 ) consist of grid-like plate elements. 8. Device according to one of the preceding claims, characterized in that the receiving chambers ( 4 ) can be covered by a common cover as a whole or by individual covers independently of one another. 9. Device according to one of the preceding claims, characterized in that the handle ( 8 ) is designed as a push bar which can be folded into a use position projecting obliquely from the outer wall and into a non-use position resting against the outer wall.
