Description
BeschreibungDescription
Two-wheelers usually have a direction indicator which, unlike in cars, has to be switched off manually by the driver after turning. The driver of a two-wheeler who is used to the convenience of the automatic indicator switch-off in a car forgets to switch off the indicators after turning and is therefore exposed to the greatest risk of accidents in traffic due to the irritation caused to other road users. In the past, attempts were made to switch on an acoustic signal in parallel to the visual control of the display instrumentation, which is difficult for the driver to see in poor lighting conditions. This acoustic signal had to be so loud that it could also be heard through the driver's helmet that it was perceived as extremely annoying by residents in residential areas and by other road users, especially at night. For this reason, these acoustic signals have largely disappeared today.

These problems are solved with the features listed in claims 1-4.
The purpose of this invention is to offer a cost-effective universal solution that solves this problem without introducing any new disadvantages. Vibration elements, such as those known from cell phone communication technology as a ratchet signal addition, usually consist of a miniature DC motor with an eccentric on the output shaft or are designed using piezo technology or electromagnetic technology. All of these vibration elements are ideal for transmitting acoustically or visually imperceptible signals to the driver through vibration. Practice has shown that if the miniature DC motors with eccentrics are correctly installed in the handlebar grip area, the driver gets a safe feeling when operating the indicator without it being confused with the vibration generated by the vehicle or perceived as unpleasant by the driver.
The invention ensures that the indicator light is not forgotten when it is switched on in poor lighting or visibility conditions that make it difficult to read the indicator lights.
An advantageous embodiment of the invention is explained with reference to Figures 1-5.

Erläuterungen zu den Figuren:Explanations of the figures:
Fig.l shows the rubber sleeve 2 with integrated vibration element 3. It is placed over the rubber grip 1 on the handlebar 5. The connecting cable 4 leads to the two-wheeler's electrics. It is advantageous to use the sleeve 2 made of foam rubber because of its elasticity. The vibration element 3 should be attached so that it has good contact with the driver's palm, to which the vibrations can be transferred. 6 is the indicator switch. Fig.2 shows the detailed drawing of the grip sleeve 2, which is placed around the rubber grip 1, in two views. The vibration element 3 is enclosed inside the sleeve 2.
The connecting cable 4 is connected to the vehicle's electrics. Fig.3 shows the vibration element 3 firmly enclosed in the rubber grip 1. Fig.4 shows the possibility of mounting a vibration element 3 concentrically inside the handlebar 5 at the end of the handlebar.
Fig. 5 shows the detailed drawing of a vibration motor 7 on the output shaft with eccentric weight 8, as used as an example in all figures and referred to there as vibration element 3. The resulting, intentional imbalance causes the vibration during operation. These miniature motors have a diameter of about 4-6 mm and are about 2 cm long. The control lamps 9, 10 and the diodes 11 and 12 are part of the electrical connection, which also control the motor 7 when they light up. The diodes 11 and 12 prevent the control lamps from influencing each other.
