A rail device comprising: a U-shaped frame, two ends of which are each connected to two respective connecting devices, each of the connecting devices comprising a first plate and a second plate between which a first tube is pivotally connected, a notch being defined in both the first plate and the second plate, a first crossbar pivotally connected between two second plates of the second connecting devices, a second crossbar pivotally connected between the two first tubes, each of the first tubes having a first pin extending therethrough and two aligned slots defined by a wall of each of the first tubes, a spring received in each of the first tubes, a first end of the spring being in contact with the first pin and a second end of the spring being engaged with a stop member, a second pin extending through the stop member, two ends of the second pin movably extending through the second slots in each of the first tubes, the two ends of the second pin being connected to the two notches in the first plate and the second plate engage.

The rail device of claim 1, wherein the second crossbar comprises two tubes, two respective ends of the two second tubes being respectively connected to the two first tubes, and two respective second ends of the two second tubes being pivotally connected to a connector, the connector having an opening and a cap member attached to the connector, the cap member having a slide plate pivotally extending therefrom and lying in alignment with the opening, two biasing members respectively received in the two respective ends of the two second tubes, each of the biasing members having an end extending from the second end of each of the second tubes and being accessible through the slide plate via the opening, each of the biasing members having a positioning pin movably mounted through a hole in each of the two second tubes.
