Description

Device for folding skis

A number of proposals have long been known for disassembling skis or shortening them by folding them.

All proposals made so far have the disadvantage that operational safety or emergency running properties cannot be guaranteed in the long term.

Increasing motorization and the need for recreation and leisure activities mean that packing and stowing skis in the trunk of a car is possible without the need for complex roof structures or additional equipment.

The invention described in the claims is based on the task

- firstly, to develop a device for folding skis for transport and storage, which

- secondly, it does not consist of several individual parts that can get lost,

- thirdly, to create a hinged closure that is easy to open and still has emergency running properties in the event of accidental opening or breakage of locking components,

- fourthly, that the joint closures are arranged at points of lower bending stress in order to exclude the risk of breakage under the ski boot, i.e. the point of greatest bending stress, and

- fifthly, that a transport container, preferably consisting of a divided frame, is designed to accommodate folded skis and telescopic ski poles.

The invention makes it possible to produce collapsible skis inexpensively and in large quantities, which considerably reduce the space required for distribution, transport and storage, no components are lost, can be put into operation in a few simple steps and still have sufficient emergency running properties in the event of an accident.

represents a ski that can be folded up several times, which preferably consists of a front ski part 1, a middle ski part 3 and a rear ski part 4 and are connected to one another in a form-fitting and force-fitting manner by the joint closures 2,2', but still has emergency running properties in the event of an accident.

For storage and individual transport purposes, a complete ski equipment with telescopic ski poles 6.6* and two collapsible skis are arranged as shown in Figure 1.

shows the functional connection of the form-fitting connection of the device for folding skis between the front leg 7, via the cylinder socket 8, the cylinder cheek 10 and the rear leg 9. In addition, the form-fitting and force-fitting connection between the front leg 7 via the connecting screw 22', the adhesive connection 24,24* and the front ski part 1 with the collar nut 23 is shown. The form-fitting and force-fitting connection between the rear leg 9 via the connecting screws 22 and the middle ski part 3 with the collar nut 23 can also be seen.

In addition to the positive and non-positive connection of the ski and joint locking parts already described, there is also a safety angle 16 assigned to the clamping lever 15 which extends into the recess 14 to prevent accidental opening.

By deliberately inserting a ski pole tip or a flat object from the side, the hinge lock can be unlocked intentionally; a branch or accidental contact with a ski pole tip cannot cause unintentional unlocking.

Claims (9)

Device for folding skis, characterized in that a joint closure (2, 2') with a front leg (7) and a rear leg (9) is connected in a form-fitting and force-fitting manner via connecting screws (22, 22', 22", 22''') to a preferably front ski part (1), a preferably middle ski part (3) and a preferably rear ski part (4), in which collar nuts (23, 23', 23", 23''') are provided. 2. Device for folding skis according to protection claim 1, characterized in that the screw connection is supplemented by an adhesive connection (24, 24', 24", 24''') on the contact surfaces between the front leg (7), the rear leg (9), the front ski part (1), the middle ski part (3) and the rear ski part (4). 3. Device for folding skis according to protection claim 1, characterized in that a hinge closure (2, 2') is assigned a front leg (7) with the cylinder socket (8, 8') and a rear leg (9) with the cylinder cheek (10, 10') for the positive locking. 4. Device for folding skis according to protection claim 1, characterized in that the front leg (7) is non-positively connected to the rear leg (9) via the cross bolts (11, 11') and the pull tab (12). 5. Device for folding skis according to protection claim 1, characterized in that the front leg (7) is connected to the cylinder socket (8, 8') and the rear leg (9) is connected to the cylinder cheek (10, 10') in a form-fitting and force-fitting manner by a clamping bracket (13). 6. Device for folding skis according to protection claim 1, characterized in that the clamping bracket (13) is arranged in the front leg (7) in a force-fitting but rotatable manner via the bolt (14) in order to ensure the form-fitting and force-fitting connection by hooking the fork opening (19) of the clamping lever (15) into the clamping bolt (20). 7. Device for folding skis according to protection claim 1, characterized in that the tensioning lever (15) is assigned to the tensioning bracket (13) via the lever bolt (21) in such a way that a dead center position (18) is overcome in the sense of a toggle lever design in order to ensure a stable locking of the joint closure (2, 2'). 8. Device for folding skis according to protection claim 1, characterized in that the safety angle (16) of the tensioning lever (15) dips into the recess (17) of the rear leg (9). 9. Device for folding skis according to protection claim 1, characterized in that a multi-part ski, preferably consisting of a front ski part (1), a middle ski part (3) and a rear ski part (4), which are connected to one another via a joint lock (2, 2'), in the unlocked, i.e. folded, state, are assigned to a transport frame (5) with the telescopic ski poles (6, 6').
