The invention relates to a filing strip for filing sheet material in a folder with an adhesive layer serving to connect it to a sheet at a time, covered by a removable protective film, and with a filing zone running parallel to the adhesive layer and having punched-out areas.

Relevant binding strips are known, with the help of which unpunched sheet material in the form of single sheets, brochures, drawings or the like can be filed in folders or ring binders. However, comparable aids are lacking to

corresponding documents can also be filed in folders of the type known from French patent specification 920244 B 1. The aforementioned folders are equipped with holders which are formed by discs, each with a surrounding, ring-shaped retaining bead. In order to file sheet material in these folders, sleeves with an integral binding edge matched to the holder have always been used. There have not been any options for storing sheets, drawings or the like which are not stored in sleeves. The invention is based on the object of closing the gap identified above, which has existed for years, and of creating a filing strip which enables sheet material to be filed in relevant folders without the need for sleeves.

The above object is achieved according to the invention in a filing strip of the type described at the outset in that the cutouts are essentially T-shaped, the crossbars of the T running parallel to the adhesive layer essentially having the shape of ellipses, in the center of which the longitudinal bars of the T open, which form a narrow insertion channel open to the longitudinal edge of the filing strip for holders of the binder consisting of discs with a circumferential annular bead.

The invention makes it possible to dispense with the plastic sleeves previously used in folders of the type in question here to hold the sheets to be filed, at least in many cases. The solution according to the invention therefore offers not only economic but also ecological advantages.

The invention is explained in more detail below with reference to the accompanying drawing of an embodiment.

In the single figure, 1 generally designates a filing strip made of plastic, which has two strip-shaped zones 2 and 3 of essentially the same width. The left zone 2 is provided with a large number of cutouts 4, which essentially have the shape of a T, with the crossbar of the T being approximately elliptical and an insertion channel forming the longitudinal bar of the T opening into the elliptical part. The shape and dimensions of the cutouts 4 are matched to the dimensions of the holders of the known folders mentioned at the beginning, which consist of a disc with a circumferential annular bead.

i.e. the width of the insertion channels corresponds to the thickness of the central part of the discs and the shape and size of the ellipse corresponds to the cross-section of the annular bead. It is understood that when using brackets with a circular annular bead, the elliptical part of the cutouts is replaced by a circular section.

Zone 3, which runs parallel to zone 2, is provided with an adhesive layer 5 which is covered by an easily removable protective film 6 before the fastening strip 1 is used.

Claims (1)

Filing strip for filing sheet material in a folder with an adhesive layer covered by a removable protective film for connecting it to a sheet at a time and with a filing zone running parallel to the adhesive layer and having cutouts, characterized in that the cutouts (4) are essentially T-shaped, the crossbars of the T running parallel to the adhesive layer (5) essentially having the shape of ellipses, in the center of which the longitudinal bars of the T open, which form a narrow insertion channel open to the longitudinal edge of the filing strip (1) for holders of the folder consisting of discs with a circumferential annular bead.
