Device for hair contouring, especially human head and/or body hair

The invention relates to a device for contouring hair, particularly human head and/or body hair. A device of this type is known (US-PS 28 79 778) which serves as a guide when shaving the face and when shaving the sideburns and is intended to help achieve the most straight horizontal line possible when shaving the sideburns.

Nowadays, it is often desired, e.g. for the purpose of body decoration or for other reasons, to carry out hair removal or hair contouring on the human head hair or in the intimate area in such a way that the hair zone that remains is as sharply contoured as possible when an area beyond the desired sharply contoured hair zone is removed by depilatory products and/or shaving.

For this purpose, the invention provides a device of the type mentioned at the outset, which is characterized by a shaped ring defining a closed edge contour, along the outside and/or inside of which a depilatory agent can be applied and/or a shave can be carried out for hair removal there, leaving hair in a contoured form on the inner area or outer area of the latter delimited by the shaped ring. Such a shaped ring according to the invention, the contour of which can be designed in a variety of ways, makes it possible, for example, to easily create a sharply contoured "hair island" on the human head hair or in the intimate area as body decoration or the like. To do this, the shaped ring is placed on the area covered with hair and, for example, a depilatory is applied along the outside of the shaped ring and/or a shave is carried out. In any case, hair is removed along the outside of the shaped ring, with hair remaining in a contoured form in accordance with the contour of the shaped ring on the inside area delimited by the shaped ring, thus creating a sharply contoured "hair island" in a simple way. Instead, it is also possible for a depilatory to be applied to the inside area delimited by the shaped ring, with hair in this inner area then being removed in a sharply contoured form, while hair in the outer area is left.

The molded ring of the device can be inherently rigid and bend-resistant, so that the contour given to it is unchangeable and permanent. Instead, the molded ring can also be designed in such a way that it can be deformed and bent by the user and can therefore be shaped by the user as desired to produce the most varied desired closed edge contours, e.g. the shape of a heart, a circular ring, a polygon such as a triangle, a square, the shape of a star or many more.

Further advantageous features and embodiments essential to the invention emerge from the subclaims.

The features of claim 3 simplify the application of depilatory agent in the inner area delimited by the molded ring.

A further advantageous embodiment results from the features of claim 4. This creates a gap between the mold ring and the at least one outer wall surrounding it for the reception of depilatory agent, which is thus delimited by both the mold ring and the outer wall and can be received in the gap. The features of claims 7 and 8 can also be advantageous here, whereby it is possible for the user to choose between two or more sizes of areas suitable for receiving depilatory agent, e.g. gaps. The features of claim 9 can also be advantageous, so that the respective gap and/or inner area of the mold ring is closed by the bottom wall on one broad side and

is open on the other broadside.

In addition to this, or in an embodiment of the device without an outer wall, the features of claim 5 can be advantageous. By arranging such a movable stamp, it is possible in a simple manner to move the depilatory agent applied all around the outside of the mold ring by pushing the stamp forwards, thus simplifying the application of depilatory agent to hairy areas. The features of claim 6 are also advantageous, whereby the application of depilatory agent to hair areas that extend between the mold ring and the at least one outer wall is particularly simple and clean by means of the movable stamp.

The ability to detach and remove stamps when they are not needed further simplifies handling and also allows for easy cleaning.

In Fig. 1, a device 10 for hair contouring, in particular human head and/or body hair, is shown schematically according to a first embodiment. The device 10 has, according to Fig. 1, a

closed shaped ring 11, which is formed from a correspondingly extending closed wall part 17, in particular made of plastic, which has an outer side 12 and an inner side 13. The shaped ring 11 delimits with its wall part 17 an inner region 15 or outer region 16. In the first embodiment according to Fig. 1, the shaped ring 11, in particular the wall part 17, has the contour of a heart. It is nevertheless understood that many other contours, which can thus be selected practically arbitrarily, come into consideration, e.g. star shape, circular shape, polygon shape or the like. The triangular contour shown is therefore only one of many possible and is shown solely to illustrate the invention. The device 10 is thus characterized according to Fig. 1 by the molded ring 11 defining a closed edge contour, along the outer side 12 of which, when used as intended, a conventional depilatory agent 14, indicated only schematically by dots, can be applied and/or a shave can be carried out with the

contoured shape on the inner area 15 delimited by the shaped ring 11. In this way, it is possible to achieve a sharply contoured hair zone corresponding to the inner area 15 on the human head hair or in the intimate area or elsewhere, which remains when the area outside the shaped ring 11, i.e. the outer area 16, is removed along the contour using depilatory products and/or shaving. A sharply contoured "hair island" corresponding to the inner area 15 can thus be achieved in a simple manner with the aid of the device 10.

Alternatively, the device 10 can also be used in such a way that a depilatory agent can be applied along the inner side 13 of the molded ring 11 and thus on the inner area 15 delimited thereby and/or a shave can be carried out for hair removal there, leaving hair in a contoured form on the outer area 16 delimited by the molded ring 11. In this case, a sharply contoured "bald zone" is formed on the inner area 15, while the outer area 16 around the molded ring

11 is still provided with hair. The inner region 15 can be closed at the back by means of a wall, as shown in Fig. 4 and 5, and can have a displaceable stamp 30 with passages 30b in its wall.

The wall part 17 of the mold ring 11 can be non-deformable and provide a respective contour, e.g. the heart contour shown in the example in Fig. 1. Instead, the wall part 17 can also be deformable, at least to a certain extent, in particular bendable, such that the user can set the desired contour himself by bending the wall part 17. The device 10 is then provided, for example, in such a way that the mold ring 11, formed by the wall part 17, has, for example, a circular ring shape and the user can then, starting from this original shape, produce the respective contour himself as desired by deforming the wall part 17, in particular by bending it.

The device 10, in particular the mold ring 11, can be used as a disposable part that is thrown away after a single use, or as a reusable part. The material is selected accordingly.

The narrow surface of the mold ring 11, in particular of the wall part 17, can run in a plane approximately parallel to the plane of the drawing or, instead, in a more or less strongly curved surface in order to achieve a better adaptation to correspondingly curved contact surfaces when contouring the hair.

In the second embodiment in Fig. 2 and 3, in addition to the molded ring 11, at least one outer wall 18 is provided which runs at a distance from its outer side 12 and surrounds the molded ring 11, forming a gap 19 between them. It is understood that the contour of the outer wall 18 does not necessarily have to correspond to that of the molded ring 11. The intermediate space 19 formed between the mold ring 11 and the outer wall 18 can be closed on one broad side, in the embodiment according to Fig. 3 on the broad side located on the right, by means of a bottom wall 23 and be open at a distance from this bottom wall 23, on the broad side on the left in Fig. 3, so that a corresponding annular chamber predetermined by the contour of the mold ring 11 and the outer wall 18 is thus obtained.

It can also be advantageous if, in accordance with the second embodiment in Fig. 2 and 3, the mold ring 11 is surrounded by a push-out stamp 20, the inner edge contour 21 of which essentially corresponds to the outer edge contour of the mold ring 11 and which can be moved relative to the mold ring 11 on the outside 12 of the wall part 17, e.g. as a carrier of depilatory agent 14 and for applying it to hair areas. In its initial position, i.e. in the non-extended position, the stamp 20 can be placed against the base wall 23. Instead, in this initial position it can also run at a distance from it, as can be seen, for example, in Fig. The stamp 20 can be pushed out in a direction away from the base wall 23 in order to push out depilatory agent 14 contained in the intermediate space 19. The direction of displacement in the illustration according to Fig. 3 is therefore from right to left. At least one handle 24 can engage the stamp 20 for manually gripping and pushing out the stamp 20, e.g. detachably. This handle 24 is provided outside the intermediate space 19 and is connected to the stamp 20 via connecting means 25, e.g. detachably, which protrude through the base wall 23 and can be guided so as to be displaceable in the base wall 23. These connecting elements 25 consist, for example, of rods, bars, pins, stamps, strips or similar linear parts.

The device 10 can be equipped with a push-out limit for the

extendable stamp 20, which has, for example, stops on the mold ring 11 and/or the outer wall 18. Such stops are not specifically shown here. As such stops, viewed along the contour of the mold ring 11 or the outer wall 18, for example, individual small projections that protrude into the intermediate space 19 are sufficient. Instead, the connecting means 25 and/or the handle 24 can also be used in a simple manner as an extension limit, which are, for example, shaped and/or dimensioned in such a way that they strike the bottom wall 23 to limit the extension of the stamp 20, see Fig. 4 and 5.

The intermediate space 19 is advantageously ventilated to the outside in order to prevent pressure from building up inside the intermediate space 19 when the device 10 is in place and the plunger 20 is actuated, which may prevent the depilatory agent 14 contained in the intermediate space 19

is pressed out. For such ventilation of the intermediate space 19, the arrangement can be such that the outer wall 18 ends in the open area of the intermediate space 19 on the left in Fig. 3 at least on a partial area of its peripheral edge 26 at a distance from the peripheral edge 27 of the mold ring 11 or, as is schematically indicated in Fig. 3, has edge-side outlet openings 28. In this way, when the stamp 20 is pushed out, the depilatory agent 14 can escape there, thus ensuring that when the stamp 20 is pushed out, the hair to be treated with the depilatory agent 14 is actually treated over its entire surface. Instead, the stamp 20 can also contain passages for the passage of the depilatory agent 14, see Fig. 4 and 5.

Advantageously, individual components of the device 10 in Fig. 2

and 3 or all of the components thereof are made of plastic. They are designed as plastic molded parts. The device is simple and inexpensive as well as easy and safe to handle, and when using it the user practically does not come into contact with the depilatory agent 14 which is to be introduced into the gap 19.

The device is placed in the state shown in Fig. 3 on the spot where the hair to be removed is located. Then, using the handle 24, the stamp 20 is moved to the left in Fig. 3 and depilatory agent 14 is applied, whereby the area covered with hair, which extends all around the outside 12 of the mold ring 11, is depilated with a sharp contour. The remaining outside area can then be depilated if necessary, e.g. by shaving.

In the third embodiment shown in Figs. 4 and 5, the same reference numerals are used for the parts corresponding to the first and second embodiments, respectively, so that reference is made to the description of these embodiments in order to avoid repetition.

Form ring 11 has a movable stamp 30 in its inner region 15, the outer edge contour 32 of which essentially corresponds to the inner edge contour of the form ring 11 and which can be moved relative to the form ring 11 on the inner side 13 of the wall part 17, e.g. as a carrier of depilatory agent 14 and for applying it to hairy areas. As can also be seen, the inner region 15 of the form ring 11 is closed at the back by the base wall 23. The stamp 30 is detachable and can be removed from the inner region 15 of the form ring 11. A handle 24 for manually gripping and pushing out the stamp 30 detachably engages the stamp 30 on the side of the base wall 23 facing away from the stamp 30, which is detachably connected to the stamp 30 via connecting means 25 which protrude through the base wall 23. The stamp 30 is designed as a plate contoured to match the contour of the mold ring 11. It contains passages 30b in its wall for the passage of depilatory agent to the rear side. These passages 30b consist, for example, of holes. The handle 24 can be designed and dimensioned in a variety of ways. It consists, for example, of an approximately

Y-shaped web or strip. When the surfaces to be treated are exposed to the depilatory agent 14 located in the inner region 15 by moving the stamp 30 to the left in Fig., the passages 30b in the stamp 30 ensure that no greater pressure builds up in this inner region 15 during this movement and when the depilatory agent 14 is pressed out, which would prevent the depilatory agent 14 from being pressed out.

The connecting means 25, via which the stamp 30 is detachably connected to the handle 24, have on one side of the handle 24 generally with 35

designated receptacles, e.g. protruding sleeves 35, and pins 30a protruding from the stamp 30 and leading through the bottom wall 23, which can be inserted into the receptacles 34, in particular sleeves 35, and can be received therein preferably in a clamping manner and can be pulled out in opposite directions for releasing and removing the stamp 30. This is dimensioned such that when it abuts against the bottom wall 23, the stamp 30 still remains within the inner region 15, i.e. is not yet pushed out of it to the left in Fig. 5. This ensures that when the stamp 30 is moved and depilatory agent 14 is applied to hair areas, the latter does not overflow. The detachability of the connecting means 25 makes it possible to remove the inner stamp 30 when not in use, for cleaning purposes or the like, and to later reinsert it in the opposite way for possible use or after cleaning or the like and to connect it to the handle 24 by plugging them together.

This previously described design, which comprises the mold ring 11 and its inner

area 15 can also be used in the embodiments in Fig. 1 to 3.

In the third embodiment in Fig. 4 and 5 it is also made clear that in addition to the outer wall 18 at least one further second outer wall 38

which surrounds the first outer wall 18 at a distance, with a further space 39 being formed between the two outer walls 18, 38 for receiving depilatory agent 14. This also makes it clear that two outer walls 18, 38 or also

even more external walls of this type can be provided, which serve to form respective intermediate spaces 19 or 39 and others.

A further stamp 40 is arranged in the space 39 between the two outer walls 18, 38. The inner and outer edge contour of the stamp 40

corresponds at least substantially to the respective edge contour on the outside of the outer wall 18 or on the inside of the second outer wall 38. The stamp 40 contained in the intermediate space 39 is movable for pushing out the depilatory agent 14 contained in the intermediate space 39 and applying it to hair areas. This stamp 40 is also detachable and can be removed from the intermediate space 39. It is detachably connected to the handle 24 via connecting means 25 in the same way as the stamp 30. The connecting means 25 are designed in the same way as those by which the inner stamp 30 is connected to the handle 24. In this respect, reference is made to the description of these connecting means 25. The second intermediate space 39 is also closed on one side by means of the base wall 23, like the first intermediate space 19. In the embodiment shown, the bottom wall 23 extends in one piece over the inner region 15, the first intermediate space 19 and the second intermediate space 39, wherein the bottom wall 23 consists of a plate.

In the embodiment in Fig. 4 and 5, the first stamp 20 and the second stamp 40 are designed as a contoured plate, as explained above for the inner stamp 30, which has passages 20b and 40b in its wall for the passage of depilatory agent 14 to the rear side thereof. In this respect too, the design of these stamps 20 and 40 corresponds to that of the inner stamp 30, so that reference is made to the relevant description for further details.

Each stamp 20, 30 and 40 can be separated by releasing it from the handle 24 and removed from the device 10, e.g. when one or the other of these stamps is not required. If, for example, a hair area that extends over the shape and size of the outer space 39 is to be treated with depilatory agent 14, neither the inner stamp 30 nor the other stamp 20 is required, which can both be released from the handle 24 and removed from the device 10. Then only

the intermediate space 39 is filled with depilatory agent 14 and the corresponding hair area to be treated is exposed to it by moving the stamp 40 to the left in Fig. 5 using the handle 24, thereby forcing the depilatory agent 14 out of the intermediate space 39. Before the stamp 40 can reach the free end of the intermediate space 39, the receptacle 34, in particular sleeves 35, abut with their end 37, in particular the front face there, on the facing side of the base wall 23, so that the stamp 40 can no longer be pushed out of the intermediate space 39. This prevents any overflow of depilatory agent 14.

After using the device in the manner described, it can be cleaned easily and simply, for example by simply releasing the stamp 40 from the handle 24 and removing it, so that the stamp 40 can be easily cleaned on its own, as can the handle 24 or the housing part, which is formed from the base wall 23 with molded ring 11, first outer wall 18 and second outer wall 38, which can be a one-piece

can represent structures.

If another area of hair is to be treated with depilatory agent 14, e.g. one which extends beyond the gap 19 in terms of size, the inner stamp 30 and the outer stamp 40 are not required, and can then, if the user so wishes, be detached from the handle 24 in the manner described and removed from the device 10. The gap 19 is then filled with depilatory agent 14 and this is removed by moving the stamp 20 in the manner described.

Claims (26)

1. Device for hair contouring, in particular human head and/or body hair, characterized by a shaped ring ( 11 ) defining a closed edge contour, along the outside ( 12 ) and/or inside ( 13 ) of which a depilatory agent ( 14 ) can be applied and/or a shave can be carried out for hair removal there, leaving hair in a contoured form on the inner region ( 15 ) or outer region ( 16 ) of the shaped ring ( 11) delimited by the shaped ring (11 ). 2. Device according to claim 1, characterized in that the mold ring ( 11 ) has a correspondingly extending wall part ( 17 ). 3. Device according to claim 1 or 2, characterized in that the mold ring ( 11 ) has a displaceable stamp ( 30 ) in its inner region ( 15 ), the outer edge contour ( 32 ) of which corresponds essentially to the inner edge contour of the mold ring ( 11 ) and which is displaceable relative to the mold ring ( 11 ) on the inner side ( 13 ) of the wall part ( 17 ) of the latter, e.g. as a carrier of depilatory agent ( 14 ) and for applying it to hair areas. 4. Device according to one of claims 1 to 3, characterized by at least one outer wall ( 18 ) which extends at a distance from the outer side ( 12 ) of the mold ring ( 11 ) and surrounds the latter, between which and the mold ring ( 11 ) an intermediate space ( 19 ) for receiving depilatory agent ( 14 ) is formed. 5. Device according to one of claims 1 to 4, characterized in that the mold ring ( 11 ) is surrounded by a displaceable stamp ( 20 ), the inner edge contour ( 21 ) of which corresponds essentially to the outer edge contour of the mold ring ( 11 ) and which is displaceable relative to the mold ring ( 11 ) on the outside ( 12 ) of the wall part ( 17 ) of the latter, e.g. as a carrier of depilatory agent ( 14 ) and for applying it to hair areas. 6. Device according to claims 4 and 5, characterized in that the stamp ( 20 ) is arranged in the intermediate space ( 19 ) between the mold ring ( 11 ) and the at least one outer wall ( 18 ) and its outer edge contour ( 22 ) essentially corresponds to the inner edge contour of the outer wall ( 18 ), wherein the stamp ( 20 ) is displaceable in the intermediate space ( 19 ) for pushing out depilatory agent ( 14 ) contained in the intermediate space ( 19 ) and applying it to hair areas. 7. Device according to one of claims 1 to 6, characterized in that at a distance from the outer wall ( 18 ) at least one further second outer wall ( 38 ) is arranged, which surrounds the first outer wall ( 18 ), wherein between the two outer walls ( 18 , 38 ) a further intermediate space ( 39 ) for receiving depilatory agent ( 14 ) is formed. 8. Device according to claim 7, characterized in that in the intermediate space ( 39 ) between the two outer walls ( 18 , 38 ) there is arranged a further stamp ( 40 ), the edge contours of which essentially correspond to those of the outer walls ( 18 , 38 ), the stamp ( 40 ) being displaceable in the intermediate space ( 39 ) for pushing out depilatory agent ( 14 ) contained in the intermediate space ( 39 ) and applying it to hair areas. 9. Device according to one of claims 1 to 8, characterized in that the respective intermediate space ( 19 , 39 ) and/or the inner region ( 15 ) of the mold ring ( 11 ) is closed flatly on one broad side by means of a bottom wall ( 23 ) and is open at a distance from the bottom wall ( 23 ). 10. Device according to claim 9, characterized in that the respective stamp ( 20 , 30 , 40 ) can be placed against the bottom wall ( 23 ) in its starting position or runs at a distance therefrom and can be pushed out in a direction facing away from the bottom wall ( 23 ) in order to push out depilatory agent ( 14 ) contained in the intermediate space ( 19 , 39 ) or inner region ( 15 ) of the mold ring ( 11 ). 11. Device according to one of claims 1 to 10, characterized in that the respective stamp ( 20 , 30 , 40 ) is detachable and can be removed from the intermediate space ( 19 , 39 ) or inner region ( 15 ) of the mold ring ( 11 ). 12. Device according to one of claims 1 to 11, characterized in that at least one handle ( 24 ) for manually gripping and pushing out the stamp ( 20 , 30 , 40 ) engages the respective stamp ( 20 , 30 , 40 ). 13. Device according to claim 12, characterized in that the at least one handle ( 24 ) is provided outside the intermediate space ( 19 , 39 ) or inner region ( 15 ) of the mold ring ( 11 ) and is connected, preferably detachably, to the respective stamp ( 20 , 30 , 40 ) via connecting means ( 25 ). 14. Device according to claim 13, characterized in that the connecting means ( 25 ) protrude through the bottom wall ( 23 ). 15. Device according to claim 13 or 14, characterized in that the connecting means ( 25 ) are displaceably guided in the bottom wall ( 23 ). 16. Device according to one of claims 13 to 15, characterized in that the connecting means ( 25 ) are formed from rods, bars, pins, stamps or similar linear parts. 17. Device according to one of claims 1 to 16, characterized by an ejection limit for the respective stamp ( 20 , 30 , 40 ). 18. Device according to claim 17, characterized in that the ejection limit has stops on the mold ring ( 11 ) and/or the at least one outer wall ( 18 , 38 ). 19. Device according to claim 17, characterized in that the connecting means ( 25 ) and/or the handle ( 24 ) abut against the bottom wall ( 23 ) to form a push-out limit. 20. Device according to one of claims 13 to 19, characterized in that the connecting means ( 25 ) have receptacles ( 34 ), e.g. protruding sleeves ( 35 ), on one side of the handle ( 24 ), and pins ( 20a , 30a , 40a ) on the respective stamp ( 20 , 30 , 40 ) which can be inserted into the receptacles ( 34 ), in particular sleeves ( 35 ), and can be received therein, preferably in a clamping manner, and can be pulled out in opposite directions for release. 21. Device according to claims 19 and 20, characterized in that the receptacles ( 34 ), in particular sleeves ( 35 ), abut against the bottom wall ( 23 ) with their end ( 37 ) facing the bottom wall ( 23 ), in particular with their front face there, to form a push-out limit. 22. Device according to one of claims 1 to 21, characterized in that the mold ring ( 11 ) and/or the outer wall ( 18 , 38 ) in the open region of the inner region ( 15 ) or the intermediate space ( 19 , 39 ) ends at least on a partial region of its peripheral edge ( 26 , 36 ) at a distance from the remaining region of the peripheral edge or has edge-side outlet openings ( 28 ) for the outlet of depilatory agent ( 14 ) when the stamp ( 20 , 30 , 40 ) is pushed out. 23. Device according to one of claims 1 to 22, characterized in that the respective stamp ( 20 , 30 , 40 ) is designed as a contoured plate. 24. Device according to one of claims 1 to 23, characterized in that the respective stamp ( 20 , 30 , 40 ), in particular the respective plate, has passages ( 20b , 30b , 40b ) in the wall for the passage of depilatory agent ( 14 ) to its rear side. 25. Device according to claim 24, characterized in that the passages ( 20 b, 30 b, 40 b) are formed from holes. 26. Device according to one of claims 1 to 25, characterized in that individual or all components thereof are designed as plastic parts, in particular plastic molded parts.
