Advertising media for shopping carts

The invention relates to an advertising medium for attaching written and image advertising to shopping carts in shopping centers consisting of mesh or a base plate with side handles.

Such advertising media are used in the form of interchangeable advertising panels, which are usually made of plastic, for shopping carts made of wire mesh. They are usually attached to the front of the shopping cart. Because of the small surface area of this front, the advertising media that can be attached to it is correspondingly small. Other shopping carts, such as those used in hardware stores and garden centers, consist of a base plate with side support bars and are open at the front so that advertising panels cannot be attached there.

The invention is based on the object of providing an advertising medium of the type mentioned at the beginning, the usable area of which is many times larger than that of known advertising media. In addition, the advertising message should have an impact on the customer not only during shopping, but also afterwards, for example when unloading the goods at home.

This object is achieved for a shopping cart consisting of a base plate with lateral support bars in a first variant according to claim 1 in that the written and image advertising can be applied to the surface of the base plate in the form of self-adhesive films, preferably made of plastic.

A second variant according to claim 2 provides that the written and image advertising in the form of paper posters can be inserted into interchangeable frames with transparent viewing surfaces attached to the surface of the base plate.

In a third variant according to claim 3, the object is finally achieved by at least one carrier plate which can be placed on the base plate and - if necessary also together with the goods located thereon - can be removed again, covers almost the entire base plate, consists of plastic or stable cardboard and on the surface of which the written and picture advertising can be attached.

For a shopping cart made of mesh, the problem is solved according to claim 4 by at least one carrier plate made of plastic or sturdy cardboard, which can be inserted into the shopping cart and - if necessary also together with the goods on it - removed again, covers almost the entire bottom surface and is made of plastic or sturdy cardboard, on the surface of which the written and picture advertising can be attached.

Further advantageous embodiments of the invention are specified in the subclaims. Thus, according to claim 5, the written and image advertising can be attached in the form of self-adhesive films, preferably made of plastic, to the surface of the at least one carrier plate. According to claim 6, it is further provided that the written and image advertising in the form of paper posters can be inserted into interchangeable frames with transparent viewing surfaces attached to the surface of the at least one carrier plate.

To simplify loading of the goods in the shopping cart into the trunk of a motor vehicle, the at least one carrier plate has a raised edge on preferably all four sides according to claim 7 and at least one carrying handle according to claim 8.

The advantages achieved with the invention are in particular that the usable area of the advertising medium is many times larger than with known advertising media. Furthermore, it is possible for the customer to load the carrier plate, which has a raised edge and handles, together with the goods on it, into his vehicle, so that the advertising message can have an impact on the customer not only during shopping, but also afterwards, for example when unloading the goods at home.

A shopping cart 2 according to Fig. 1 consists, among other things, of a base plate 6 with side support rods 7 and a handle 5. Such a shopping cart 2 is used, for example, in hardware stores to stack building materials such as boards or the like between the support rods 7. According to the invention, written and image advertising 1 in the form of self-adhesive films 8, preferably made of plastic, is attached to the surface of the base plate 6. Due to the large surface of the base plate 6, this written and image advertising 1 immediately and clearly catches the eye.

The base plate 6 can also consist, as shown at the bottom of Fig. 1, of two carrier plates 11 which can be placed next to one another on the base plate 6, on the surfaces of which a written and image advertising 1 of the appropriate size is also attached.

The carrier plates 11 have a raised edge 9 on all four sides. In addition, they are provided with handles 10 on all four sides in the large version and on two opposite sides in the halved version. In this way, each of these carrier plates 11 together with the goods on it can be easily removed from the base plate 6 and - for example, reloaded into the trunk of a vehicle - and taken home, where the written and image advertising 1 can continue to have its effect when the goods are removed.

In another shopping cart 3 according to Fig. 2, which consists, among other things, of mesh 4 and a handle 5, a trapezoidal carrier plate 12 made of plastic or sturdy cardboard covering almost the entire bottom surface can be used. The written and image advertising 1 is applied to its surface, for example in the form of self-adhesive films 8, preferably made of plastic, as shown in the middle illustration in Fig. 2.

As shown at the bottom of Fig. 1, two carrier plates 12 can also be inserted next to each other in the shopping cart 3, on the surfaces of which a written and picture advertisement 1 of the corresponding size is also attached.

The support plates 12 also have a raised edge 9 on all four sides. In addition, they are provided with carrying handles 10 on all four sides in the large version and on two opposite sides in the halved version, which leads to the same possibilities that have been described for Fig. 1.

Advertising medium for attaching written and image advertising ( 1 ) for a shopping cart ( 2 ) consisting of a base plate ( 6 ) with lateral support bars ( 7 ) in shopping premises, characterized in that the written and image advertising ( 1 ) can be attached in the form of self-adhesive films ( 8 ), preferably made of plastic, to the surface of the base plate ( 6 ). 2. Advertising medium for attaching written and image advertising ( 1 ) for a shopping trolley ( 2 ) consisting of a base plate ( 6 ) with lateral support bars ( 7 ) in shopping premises, characterized in that the written and image advertising ( 1 ) in the form of paper posters can be inserted into interchangeable frames with transparent viewing surfaces attached to the surface of the base plate ( 6 ). 3. Advertising medium for attaching written and image advertising ( 1 ) for a shopping cart ( 2 ) consisting of a base plate ( 6 ) with lateral support bars ( 7 ) in shopping premises, characterized by at least one carrier plate (11) made of plastic or sturdy cardboard which can be placed on the base plate ( 6 ) and - if necessary also together with the goods located thereon - can be removed again, covers almost the entire base plate ( 6 ), and on the surface of which the written and image advertising ( 1 ) can be attached. 4. Advertising medium for attaching written and image advertising ( 1 ) for a shopping cart ( 3 ) made of mesh ( 4 ) in shopping premises, characterized by at least one carrier plate ( 12 ) made of plastic or sturdy cardboard which can be inserted into the shopping cart ( 3 ) and - if necessary also together with the goods on it - removed again, covers almost the entire floor area and onto the surface of which the written and image advertising ( 1 ) can be attached. 5. Advertising medium according to one of claims 3 or 4, characterized in that the written and image advertising ( 1 ) can be applied in the form of self-adhesive films ( 8 ) preferably made of plastic on the surface of the at least one carrier plate ( 11 , 12 ). 6. Advertising medium according to one of claims 3 or 4, characterized in that the written and image advertising ( 1 ) in the form of paper posters can be inserted into interchangeable frames with transparent viewing surfaces fastened to the surface of the at least one carrier plate ( 11 , 12 ). 7. Advertising medium according to one of claims 3 to 6, characterized in that the at least one carrier plate ( 11 , 12 ) has a raised edge ( 9 ) on preferably all four sides. 8. Advertising medium according to one of claims 3 to 7, characterized in that the at least one carrier plate ( 11 , 12 ) has at least one carrying handle ( 10 ) on preferably all four sides.
