DICE DEVICE

The invention relates to a dice device having a plurality of surfaces which define a bottom surface and a top surface when the dice is thrown, wherein the dice is formed from a cube having six square surfaces and eight corners.

Dice devices of the type mentioned above are generally used in the prior art to randomly determine numbers for playing parlor games. If a single dice is used, numbers between one and six can be randomly determined by throwing it, with the probability for all numbers being equally distributed.

If numbers greater than six are to be rolled, this is only possible when using conventional dice by throwing a number of dice at the same time, with the number rolled being the sum of the numbers rolled with each individual die. For example, if two dice are used, the numbers two to twelve can be rolled. The disadvantage is that the probabilities for these numbers are no longer evenly distributed, and the number of possible realizations for the numbers two to twelve are different. For example, there is only one possible realization for the numbers two and twelve, but six possible realizations for the number seven.

The object of the invention is therefore to create a dice device with which numbers from one to fourteen can be rolled with a predetermined probability, in particular with equal probability.

For a cube device of the type mentioned above, this task is solved by removing the corners in such a way that a triangular surface is formed in each corner area.

A dice device with a plurality of surfaces which define a bottom surface and a top surface when the dice is thrown, the dice being formed from a cube having six square surfaces and eight corners, characterized in that the corners are removed in such a way that a triangular surface is formed in each corner region. 2. Device according to claim 1, characterized in that the triangular surfaces have the same surface area as the square surfaces. 3. Device according to claim 1, characterized in that the triangular surfaces have a larger surface area than the square surfaces. 4. Device according to claim 1, characterized in that the triangular surfaces have a smaller surface area than the square surfaces. 5. Device according to one of the preceding claims, characterized in that numbers from 1 to 14 are applied to the triangular surfaces and the square surfaces.
