Hintergrundwände üblicher Bauart weisen sich alle dadurch aus, dass sie nur durch ein aufwendiges Stand-, Hänge-, Spann-, Schraub- oder Klebesystem als Film Video - Projektions - Display - oder Kulissenhintergrund verwendbar sind. Darüber hinaus sind alle diese Hintergrundarten, sofern sie aus einer einzelnen Hintergrundfläche bestehen nach Montage im Grundriß nicht flexibel einsetzbar.
