Description
Herkömmliche Armierungsprofile für Steinplatten, z.B. Arbeitsplatten aus Granit, bestehen aus Stahl, meist aus Edelstahl.Conventional reinforcement profiles for stone slabs, e.g. granite worktops, are made of steel, usually stainless steel.
Stahl und Stein weisen unterschiedliche mechanische Eigenschaften auf, weshalb bei der Bearbeitung oftmals verschiedene Werkzeuge verwendet werden müssen. Insbesondere muß für das Schleifen einer mit einem Stahlprofil armierten Steinplatte das Schleifwerkzeug gewechselt werden, wenn das Armierungsprofil übersteht. Dieses Problem wird dadurch gelöst, das anstelle eines Stahlprofils ein faserverstärktes Kunststoffprofil eingesetzt wird. Dadurch können Steinplatte und Armierungsprofil mit einem Werkzeug und in einem Arbeitsgang geschliffen werden.Different tools must be used to work on steel and stone. Der in Schutzanspruch 2 angegeben Erfindung liegt das Problem zugrunde, daß als Armierungsprofile nur solche zum Einsatz kommen können, die wegen ihrer mechanischen Eigenschaften und Formen auch als Armierung wirken und die freie Durchbiegung einer Steinplatte wirksam reduzieren und somit ein Durchbrechen der Platten vermeiden. Diese Problem wird dadurch gelöst, daß die zum Einsatz kommenden Kunststoffprofile durchgängig faserverstärkt sind. Der Faseranteil beträgt ca. 60%. Als Verstärkungsfaser wird Glas- oder Kohlefaser verwendet. Je nach Kombination von Matrixharz/Verstärkungsfaser werden die mechanischen Eigenschaften der Armierungsprofile, z.B.
