Derartige Topflappen weisen zwar den Vorzug eines Verbrühungs- und Verbrennungsschutzes der Finger und des Daumens auf, sind jedoch zugleich mit dem Nachteil einer ungünstigen Ergonomie behaftet, da sowohl zum An- als auch zum Ausziehen stets die Hilfe der jeweils anderen Hand erforderlich ist. In einem hektischen Küchenbetrieb spielt die Zeitkomponente zum Ergreifen des Topflappens zu seiner Benutzung und zur Wiederablage eine erhebliche Rolle. Claims

1. Pot holder made of a textile, slightly flexible material with a pocket for the fingers of one hand, characterized in that on one surface side ( 3 ) of a flat base body ( 2 ) a first pocket ( 6 ) is attached at two opposite edge regions ( 4 , 5 ) for the partial insertion of a thumb (D) and a second pocket ( 7 ) is attached at the opposite edge region ( 4 , 5 ) for the partial insertion of the fingers (F).

2. Pot holder according to claim 1, characterized in that a fold line ( 9 ) of the base body ( 2 ) is arranged transversely to the connecting line ( 8 ) between the central regions ( 6a , 7a ) of the two pockets ( 6 , 7 ).

3. Pot holder according to claim 2, characterized in that the fold line ( 9 ) is formed by a quilting seam.

4. Pot holder according to one of claims 1 to 3, characterized in that the depth (T) of the two pockets ( 6 , 7 ) is at least as great as the length of the first joint of the thumb and the length of the first joint of the middle finger.

5. Pot holder according to one of claims 1 to 4, characterized in that the edges ( 6b , 7b ) of the pockets ( 6 , 7 ) and the entire peripheral edge ( 2c ) of the base body ( 2 ) are bordered by an edge or bias tape ( 10 ).

6. Pot holder according to one of claims 1 to 5, characterized in that the maximum depth (T) of the pockets ( 6 , 7 ) is approximately between 3 cm and 6 cm.

7. Pot holder according to one of claims 1 to 6, characterized in that the base body ( 2 ) consists of two layers ( 2a , 2b ) of a cotton fabric or a nonwoven fabric, between which ( 2a , 2b ) an insert ( 11 ) of nonwoven wadding and/or molleton is arranged.

8. Pot holder according to one of claims 1 to 7, characterized in that the outer edge ( 2 c) of the base body ( 2 ) has a square cut with rounded corner regions (12 ÷ 15), whereas the opposite corner regions ( 12 , 14 ; 13 , 15 ) are each connected to one another by a quilting seam ( 8 , 9 ).

9. Pot holder according to claim 8, characterized in that boomerang-shaped pockets ( 6 , 7 ) are attached to two opposite side edge regions ( 16 , 19 ; 17 , 18 ).

Pot holder according to one of claims 8, characterized in that on one side (3) of the base body ( 2 ) on two opposite side edge areas (16 ÷ 19) there are attached pairs of pockets ( 6 , 7 ) running parallel to one another. 11. Pot holder according to one of claims 8 to 10, characterized in that the square cut has a side edge length (L) of approximately 16.5 cm.

12. Pot holder according to one of claims 1 to 7, characterized in that the outer edge ( 2 c) of the base body ( 2 ) is provided with a square, hexagonal, circular, oval, heart-shaped or butterfly-shaped configuration with rounded corner regions (12 ÷ 15).

13. Pot holder according to one of claims 1 to 12, characterized in that it has a hanging tab ( 20 ) at a corner region ( 14 ).
