Ein passives vibrierendes System kann der Benutzer auch hinsichtlich seines eigenen pulsierenden Blutkreislaufs sein, denn das segmentelastische Polster derart ausgebildet ist, daß die Polstersegmente durch den Puls zu nichtaperiodischen Eigenschwingungen anregbar sind. Hierbei ist - wenn keine vibrationsfähige Unterlage, wie das vorgenannte Wasserbett, vorgesehen ist, sondern die Struktur des Polsters zu Eigenschwingungen angeregt werden soll, wichtig, daß es sich nicht nur um die bloße Bewegung des Benutzers handelt, sondern daß durch diese Bewegung und/oder den Puls nichtaperiodische Eigenschwingungen in den Segmenten des Polsters erzeugt werden, die von da auf den Benutzer rückübertragen werden. Diese Rückkopplung ist umso ausgeprägter, je kleiner die Segmente sind. Ihre Auflageflächen sollten deshalb vorzugsweise kleiner als 10 cm² sein. Nach unten besteht theoretisch keine Grenze.
