DESCRIPTION

Electric kettles are practical tools that can be used to boil water quickly and easily in an energy-saving manner. These devices are inexpensive to manufacture and have almost all the parts necessary for the invention. They consist of a temperature-resistant plastic housing, a temperature-resistant plastic lid, a lower metal base in which the electric heating element is attached, a temperature-controlled switch-off of the heating element (overheating protection thermostat) and an on/off switch.

If you want to make tea with these devices, you have to pour the water as quickly (as hot) as possible after boiling it into a teapot in which the tea is to be brewed and steeped. After a certain amount of time, depending on the type of tea and personal preferences, the brewed tea leaves must be removed from the tea so that too many bitter substances and other acids do not overpower the fresh tea taste.

The invention specified in claims 1, 2 and 3 is based on the problem that this procedure requires a high level of concentration in everyday use, which may not be possible. For example, during short breaks in work, there is simply not enough time to observe the water temperature and remove the tea leaves in a timely manner, and the person preparing the tea is distracted, which means that the taste of the tea leaves is significantly reduced.

These problems are solved with the features of the invention mentioned in claims 1, 2 and 3.

The invention achieves:

1) that boiling water can be prepared quickly and easily with the kettle as usual,

2) that with the brewing function, boiling water is poured into a suitable container immediately after it has reached the boiling point,

3) that with an easy-to-understand additional function, tea can be brewed automatically at the right time in a suitable vessel.

Figure 1 shows the kettle 1 according to claim 1, with the special lid 2, the adjustable steam lock 3, the water spout 4, the brewing water outlet 5, the timer switch 6, the on/off switch 7, the electromechanical lever 8 on the kettle housing and the power cable 9 in a possible embodiment.

Figure 2 shows the kettle 1 according to claim 2, with the special lid 2, the adjustable steam lock 3, the water spout 4, the brewing water outlet 5, the timer switch 6, the on/off switch 7, the electromechanical lever 10 on the lid 2 and the power cable 9 in a possible embodiment.

Claims (3)

1. Electric kettle with tea-making function, characterized in that the kettle is equipped with a special lid which either boils water in the kettle or, after boiling, pumps water into another vessel as hot water for brewing by means of a steam barrier which can be activated on the lid, and in which a heating switch-off controlled by the overheating protection activates an adjustable brewing time, after which an electromechanically driven lever on the kettle housing can pull a tea container attached to it out of the tea which has now been brewed with a pivoting movement. 2. Electric kettle with tea-making function, characterized in that the kettle is equipped with a special lid which either boils water in the kettle or, after boiling, pumps water into another vessel as hot water for brewing by means of a steam barrier which can be activated on the lid, and in which a heating switch-off controlled by the overheating protection activates an adjustable brewing time, after which an electromechanically driven lever on the lid can pull a tea container attached to it out of the tea which has now been brewed with a pivoting movement. 3. Electric kettle with tea-making function, characterized in that the kettle is equipped with a special lid which boils water in the kettle and allows the water to flow out via the spout, and a second lid which can be exchanged for this lid pumps the boiling water into another vessel as hot water for brewing after it has boiled by means of a steam barrier on the lid, and in which a heating switch-off controlled by the overheating protection activates an adjustable brewing time, after which an electromechanical drive in the lid can pivot a lever, from which the brewing water also flows, and a tea container attached to it, out of the tea that has now been brewed.
