Durch dise Ausgestaltung wird ein Kompressionsstrumpf erreicht, der besonders einfach, sogar von bewegungsbehinderten Personen, angezogen werden kann, denn es muss, ausser dem oberen Abschlusskranz, in der Regel kein geschlossener Abschnitt des Strumpfes übergezogen werden. Das Schliessen der Längsöffnung erfolgt erst im angezogenen Zustand des Strumpfes. Besondere Vorteile ergeben sich dadurch, dass eine gleichmässige und gesamtflächige Kompression ergibt, d.h., dass es sich im angelegten Zustand um eine Ausführung wie bei einem klassichen verschlusslosen Strumpf handelt. Ferner entfällt in jedem Fall die Verwendung von Binden. Das bedeutet, dass dieser erfindungsgemässe Kompressionsstrumpf auch bei sogenannten offenen Beinen, also Gliedmaßen mit offenen Wunden, angewendet werden kann. Damit wird erreicht, dass beim Anmessen des Strumpfes festgelegt werden kann, in welchem Längsabschnitt des Strumpfes die Längsöffnung angebracht werden soll. So kann sie z.B. seitlich am Gliedmaß angeordnet sein, oder sogar entlang des Schienbeines, zumal der Verschluss optisch nicht störend ist. Dazu hat es sich gemäß einer weiteren Ausgestaltung als zweckmässig erwiesen, dass die gegenüberliegenden Seiten der Längsöffnung durch einen Feinzahnreissverschluss lösbar miteinander verbunden sind. Es hat sich nämlich gezeigt, dass diese Verschlussart in der Stabilität und in der Optik besonders vorteilhaft ist. Diese Teile sind auch ausreichend erprobt und können aus medizinisch unbedenklichen Stoffen gefertigt werden.
