Für diese Anmeldung wird die britische Priorität
Fo. 45737/69 vom 17. September 1969 in Anspruch genommen.
Die Erfindung bezieht sich auf Formkörper, vorzugsweise aus synthetischem, plastischem Material. Es ist bereits bekannt, daß Formkörper aus synthetischem, plastischem Material, insbesondere aus expandiertem Polystyren bestehend, den Vorteil haben, daß sie leicht im Gewicht und preiswert herzustellen sind. "Diese Formkörper haben jedoch den erheblichen Nachteil, daß sie zerbrechlich sind und daß sie bisher nicht ohne wesentliche Produktions- und Gewichtskostenerhöhung hergestellt v/erden konnten.
Der Erfindung Ußgt die Aufgabe zugrunde, die vorstehenden Nachtolle zu vermeiden. Die Lösung dieser Aufgabe beruht nach dor Erfindung auf einem Formkörper aus synthetischem, plant löchern Material, vorzugsweise expandiertem Polystyren (expanded polystyrene), der ein offonmanohigen Gewebe von VerstoifungsmatorIaI, vorzugsweise aus fflasfar.orri bestehend, enthalt.

Es liegt des v/eiteren ein Verfahren zur Herstellung von
körper
versteiften Form , insbesondere Paletten, aus synthetischem, plastischem Material im Rahmen der Erfindung, welches plastische Material vorzugsweise aus expandiertem Polystyren besteht, wobei vor dem Formen in eine offene Form ein Stück eines kontinuierlich offenmaschigen Gewebes aus Versteifungsmaterial, vorzugsweise Glasfaser, eingeführt wird, das eine genügend enge Maschenweite aufweist, so daß das Zusammenkleben der Formab3chnitte nicht gestört wird und v/obei nach dem Formvorgang das außenliegende Yersteifungsmaterial, das an der Form heraustritt, entfernt wird.

Wie in den Pig. 1 his 3 der Zeichnungen dargestellt, umfaßt die Palette eine rechteckige Lastaufnahmeplattform 1, die auf neun kastenartigen Beinen 2 vorgesehen ist. Tier dieser Beine 2 sind an Ecken der Plattform 1 vorgesehen. Weitere vier sind in der Mitte längs jeder Kante an der Plattform 1 vorgesehen und ein Bein 2 ist in der Mitte angeordnet .
Die Palette ist zusammenhängend aus expandiertem PoIystyren geformt und v/eist ein offenmaschiges Gewebe 3 (Pig. 2) auf, das während des Pormvorgangs eingebracht worden ist. Das Gewebe besteht aus Glasfaser-Yersteifungsmaterial. Es liegt in der Ebene der lasttragenden Plattform 1, und zwar in der Nähe der unteren Pläche.
.Bei der Herstellung der Paletten wird Glasfaser in Porm eines offenmaschigen Gewebes fortlaufend zwischen die Hälften einer geteilten Porra eingeführt. Die Maschenweite

der Glasfaser ist so gering, daß sie das erforderliche Verbinden der Formhälften nicht stört, und die Maschenform ist derart, daß sie den Durchgang der Polystyren-Formmaterialpartikel (polystyrene bead moulding material) gestattet.
Bei diesem Ausführungsbeispiel ist die Form geeignet, gemäß einer Linie parallel und angrenzend zu der unteren Fläche der Palettenplattform 1 zu trennen, so daß das Gewebe 3 aus Glasfaser ebenfalls diese Position in dem geformten Erzeugnis einnimmt. Bei der Herstellung von Formen mit verschiedenen Trennlinien kann das versteifte Gewebe 3 in einer beliebigen, gewünschten Region zwischen der Kopf- und Bodenfläche der Plattform 1 vorgesehen werden.
Fach der Erfindung wird die Palette aus der Formmaschine ausgeworfen. Bei diesem Vorgang wird das Glasfasergewebe zwischen den Formhälften für den nächsten Formvorgang vorgerückt· Das Gewebe wird hiernach benutzt, um den Fördervorgang der Formen von der Maschine zu unterstützen. Das Gewebe wird, wenn es passend ist, abgeschnitten, wodurch eine fortlaufende und schnelle Palettenproduktion bewerkstelligt wird.

In der in den Fig. 4 und 5 dargestellten Ausführungsform besteht die Palette aus einer zweiwegigen Eintrittsform und umfaßt eine lasttragende Plattform 4 mit drei sich seitlich erstreckenden Füßen 5, die im Abstand parallel zueinander vorgesehen sind. Zwei der Beine liegen an entgegengesetzten Ecken der Plattform 1 an und das andere Bein ist zentral vorgesehen. Die Plattform 1 weist wiederum ein während des Formprozesses eingeführtes, offenmaschiges Gewebe 6 auf (Fig. 5). Es besteht aus versteifendem Glasfasernaterial. In diesem Fall weist jedoch das Gewebe gewellte Form auf, wobei sich die ¥ellen quer zu den Füßen 5 erntrecken, um die Palette sowohl in der Ebene parallel zu den Füßen als auch in der Ebene senkrecht dazu zu versteifen.
Man kann auch eine Anzahl von Versteifungsgcweben vorsehen. Die Fig. 4 erläutert ein "Beispiel, in dem eine lasttragende Plattform 7 mit zwei parallelen Geweben 8 aus Glasfaser-Vers teifungsmat er LaI eingebracht ist.
Die Erfindung errs treckt sich auch auf die Herstellung von Form , die nicht/Paletten dienen, d.h. mit Konturen versehene Packboxen, wie für Möbel und andere Artikel, bei denen erhöhte Chnrakteristika wünschenswert sind.

Claims (1)

    Patentansprüche
    M.jFormkörper, insbesondere Palette, aus synthetischem, plastj sohem Material, dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß es ein nffenmanchiges Gewebe (3»6,8) aus versteifendem Material umfaßt.
    2. Formkörper nach Anspruch 1, dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß das plastische Material aus expandiertem Poljrstyren und das Versteifungsmaterial aus Glasfaser besteht.
    3. Formkörper nach den Ansprüchen 1 oder 2 in Form einer Palet te, dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß eine lastaufnehmende Plattform (1) und eine AnKohl von Stützfüßen (2) vorgesehen sind und daß das Gewebe (3,C>,8) aus Versteifunjsraaterial in der Ebene der erwähnten Plattform vorgesehen ist.

Verfahren zur Herstellung eines verstärkten Formkörpers aus synthetischem, plastischem Material, dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß vor dem Formen in die offene Form ein Stück eines kontinuierlichen, offenmaschigen Gewehes (3>6,8) aus Versteifungsmaterial mit einer genügend engen Maschenweite vor dera Formen eingeführt wird, so daß es nicht das Zusammenkleben der Formabschnitte stört, und daß nach dem Formungsrorgang das heraustretende Versteifungsmaterial von der erzeugten Form entfernt wird.
