Die Erfindung bezieht sich auf ein an der Wand aufzuhängendes Urinal. Derartige Hängeurinale bestehen in der Regel aus einem Keramikbecken, das von einer im wesentlichen horizontalen, durchbrochenen Trennwand in ein Beckenoberteil und ein Beckenunterteil unterteilt wird. Dabei besitzt das Beckenoberteil eine rückwärtige sowie seitliche Wandungen, während es nach vorne und oben offen ist, wobei der Rand der Öffnung gewöhnlich als mit Löchern versehener Spülwasserkanal ausgebildet ist. Urin und Spülwasser fließen aus dem Beckenoberteil durch die horizontale, durchbrochene Trennwand in das allseitig geschlossene Beckenunterteil, das an seiner Unterseite mit einem Ablauf beziehungsweise mit einem Anschlußstutzen für eine Abflußleitung versehen ist. In dem Beckenunterteil ist ein Geruchverschluß angeordnet, dessen Wasserfüllung die Abflußleitung abdichtet. Höhe und Volumen der Wasserfüllung sollen so bemessen sein und die Konstruktion des Geruchverschlusses soll so beschaffen sein, daß die Wasserfüllung im Geruchverschluß nicht von einer durch die Abflußleitung strömenden Flüssigkeitsmenge abgesaugt werden kann, das heißt daß der Geruchverschluß nicht leergesaugt werden kann, so daß stets eine Abdichtung der Abflußleitung gewährleistet ist.The invention relates to a wall-hung urinal.
