Description

  • Hochletstungsschmieröle Gegenstand der vorliegenden Erfindung sind in sehr breitem Temporaturband anwendbare, neuartige Hochleistungsschmieröle.
  • Besonders zur Schmierung von Fahrzeugmotoren in kaltem Klima wird leichtes Anspringen des Motors auch bei extrem niedrigen Temperaturen von beispielsweise -40°C oder darunter angestrebt, während andererseits bei schwerer Belastung und forciertem Betrieb die Schmierung des Motors bei hohen Temperaturen nicht gefährdet sein darf. In gewissem Umfang werden derartige Fähigkeiten eines Motorenöls durch das US-amerikanische SAE-Klassifikationssystem (Society of Automotive Engineers) sichel gestellt, doch bezieht sich die "W" -Klassifikation der Winteröle lediglich auf maximale gemessene Viskositäten bei OOF und keineswegs auf etwa 40 Die in sehr breitem Temperaturband anwendbaren Hochleistungsschmieröle nach der Erfindung bestehen aus einem synthetischen Schmieröl in der Viskositätslage zwischen 2,5 und 4,5 cSt bei 210°F, einem VI von mindestens 120, einem Stockpunkt von unterhalb -10°C und einer Verdampfung nach Noack von höchstens 3Q olo, oder aus einer überwiegend isoparaffinishen Fraktion mit gleichen Kennzahlen oder einem Gemisch beider, und andererseits aus 10 bis 25 Gew.% eines scherstabilen hochviskosen Kohlenwasserstoff-Polymerisates mit mittlerem Molgewicht zwische 2.000 und 60.000.
  • Diese Öle können durch die Mehrberefchsbezeichnung.5 W/30 bzw.
  • 5 W/40 oder 5W/50 gekennzeichnet werden. Sie zeigen auch noch bei - 40° und darunter ein einwandfreies Startverhalten und geben bei Temperaturen bis etwa 300°, wie sie im Zylinderaum vorkommen können, eine Schmiersicherheit, die den Einbereichsölen der Klassen 40 bzw. 50 entspricht, während die bekannten Mehrbereichsöle der 5 W-Klasse ein relativ hohes Verdampfungsverhalten zeigen und daher weder in Bezug auf die Ölverluste noch in Bezug auf die Sicherheit der Schmierung bei sehr hohen Temperaturen befriedigen.
  • Die neuen Hochleistungs-Mehrbereichsschmieröle sind auf einem synthetischen Schmiermittel der Viskositätslage zwischen 2,5 und 4,5 cSt bei 210°F oder auf einer überwiegend isoparaffinischen Fraktion der gleichen Viskositätslage zwischen 2, 5 und 4, 5 cSt bei 210°F oder auf einem Genmisch dieser Fraktione, die beide einen V.I. von mindestens 120 und einen Stockpunkt von unterhalb - 10°C aufweisen, aufgebaut, wobei die erforderliche Viskosität bei hoher Temperatur durch Zusätze eines praktisch scherstabilen hochviskosen Kohlenwasserstoff-Polymeren mit mittlerem Molekulargewicht zwischen 2.000 und 60.000 im Ausmasse bis zu 25 Gew. % im Fertigöl sichergesteJlt wird. Als KW-Polymere kommen z. B. in Frage Äthylenbrightstock (Polyäthylen) oder Polyisobutylen. Daneben kön nen noch bis zu höchstens 6 Gew. % Polymethacrylate zugemischt werden.
  • Beispiel 16 83 olo Diester V 210 0F = 3, 3 cSt YI = 140 Stockpt. = - 70 C Noack = 16 o/o 17 % Polyisobutylen (Mittl. Molgewicht = 3.000) V 210°F = 12,0 cSt V 0°F = 900 cP (im CCS-Gerät gemessen) VI (E.) # 200 Kaltstartfähig bis - 40°C V 300°C (extr.) = 1,36 cSt.
  • Verdampfung nach Noack = 15 % Beispiel 2: 62 % (Gew. %) vorwiegend isoparaffinische Komponente V 2100F = 4,0 cSt (aus Harnstoff-Gatsch) V.I. = 130 Stockpkt. = -20°C 21 % (Gew. %) Diester V 210°F = 3,3 cSt.
  • V.I. = 140 12 Gew. % Polyisobutylen (Molg. = 12.000) 5 Gew. % Polymethacrylat.
  • V 210°F = 15,0 cSt V 0°F = 850 cP (im CCS-Gerät gemessen) V.I. (E.) = 240 Katstartfähig bis - 38°C V 300°C (extr.) = 1,75 cSt Verd.n. Noack = 18 %

Claims (2)

  1. Patentansprüche: 1. In sehr weitem Temperaturband anwendbare Hochleistungsschmieröle, bestehend aus a) einem synthetischen Schmieröl in der Viskositätslage zwischen 2, 5 und 4, 5 cSt bei 2100F einem VI von mindestens 120, einem Stockpunkt von unterhalb -10°C und einer Verdampfung nach Noack von höchstens 30 o/o, oder aus einer überwiegend isoparaffinischen Fraktion mit gleichen Kennzahlen oder einem Gemisch beider, b) 10 bis 25 Gew. olo eines scherstabilen hochviskosen Kohlenwasserstoff-Polymerisates mit mittlerem MOlr gewicht zwischen 2.000 und 60. 000.
  2. 2. Hochleistungsschmieröle nach Anspruch 1, dadurch gekenn zeichnet, dass sie nicht mehr als 6 o/o Polymethacrylate oder andere sauerstoffhaltige VI-Verbesserer enthalten.
