Das standfeste Material hatte eine Auflage von ca. 160 g/m2 reiner Aktivkohle und 180 g/m2 mit K2CO3 imprägnierter Kohle und wurde zu einem Faltenfilter mit sechs La gen pro cm bei einer Faltenhöhe von 5 cm verarbeitet. Danach wurde die PP-Bahn durch ein Bett aus angefeuchteter Splitterkohle die mit K2CO3 imprägniert war (Trockenauflage 8 g K2CO3 pro 100 g Kohle) gezo gen, so daß die eine Seite des PP-Gitters mit Aktivkohle, die andere Seite mit imprägnierter Aktivkohle bedeckt war. Beide Seiten wurden mit einem sehr of fenen Polyestervlies (ca. 30 g/m2) abgedeckt. Die losen Fasern verhakten sich mit der Splitterkohle, hatten aber auch teilweise mit dem Kleber Berührung und dieses Sandwich wurde aufgewickelt.
