The present application relates to a combined push-in / slip-on lid for closing containers and sleeves, especially grease cartridges.

The previously known slip-on lids must fit precisely on the outside diameter of the container to ensure a secure fit, especially if they are to be airtight. Even the smallest deviation in size makes it more difficult to pull it up, or there is too much play, making secure sealing impossible. In the case of the push-in lids, which are also known, a small tolerance of the container diameter is possible, provided they are somewhat conical, so that they still fit reasonably well. However, due to the edge of the push-in lid protruding beyond the container wall, there is a slight risk that the lid will be lifted off during packaging, transport or the like, so that the now unprotected contents can leak out.
