Description
Die vorliegende Erfindung betrifft ein Mittel zur Pflege und
Behandlung von Haaren und Kopfhaut, das insbesondere eine
Juckreiz vermindernde, feuchthaltende und hypoallergene
Wirkung aufweist und auf das Haar auch Glanz vermittelnd und
konditionierend wirkt.
Es wurde nun gefunden, daß ein Mittel mit diesen Eigenschaf
ten dann erhalten werden kann, wenn man üblichen Träger
materialien als aktiven Wirkstoff einen alkoholischen oder
wäßrig-alkoholischen Extrakt von Haferkörner bzw. Hafermehl zusetzt.
Die Verwendung von Hafermehl in kosmetischen Mitteln ist im
Prinzip bereits bekannt, vgl. beispielsweise die EP-A
619 950 und die EP-A 620 979. In diesen Fallen werden spe
zielle Fraktionen bzw. deren Gemische mit einem definierten
Gehalt an Proteinen, Kohlenhydraten und Fett eingesetzt.
Eine Übersicht über die Verwendung von Hafermehl in kosmeti
schen Mitteln wird auch in einen Artikel von D. Paton et al.
in "Cosmetics and Toiletries", Vol. 110 (März 1995), S. 63
bis 64, 66, 68, 70, gegeben.
Ausgehend von diesem Stand der Technik wurde nunmehr
gefunden, daß sich Haar- und Kopfhautbehandlungs- und
-pflegemittel mit verbesserter Wirksamkeit herstellen
lassen, wenn man ihnen einen alkoholischen oder wäßrig-alkoho
lischen Extrakt von Haferkörnern bzw. Hafermehl zusetzt. Es
handelt sich dabei um Früchte von Hafer der Gattung Avena
sativa.
Der erfindungsgemäß zum Einsatz gelangende Haferkorn- bzw.
Hafermehlextrakt weist vorzugsweise einen Trockenrückstand von
etwa 0,5 bis etwa 10, vorzugsweise etwa 1 bis etwa 5, insbeson
dere etwa 2 bis etwa 4 Gew.-%, berechnet auf den Gesamtextrakt,
auf.
Als Lösungsmittel werden Alkohole, vorzugsweise Polyalkohole,
insbesondere Propylenglykol wie 1,3-Propylenglykol, und
Butylenglykol, insbesondere 1,3-Butylenglykol, allein oder, be
vorzugt, im Gemisch mit Wasser verwendet. Das Verhältnis Wasser
: Alkohol liegt dabei zwischen etwa 3 : 1 bis 1 : 5, vorzugs
weise 2 : 1 bis 1 : 2, insbesondere etwa 1 : 1.
Im folgenden wird ein Beispiel für die Herstellung eines erfin
dungsgemäß zum Einsatz gelangenden Extraktes beschrieben:
900 g getrocknete Haferkörner (Avena sativa Linn´ (Gramineae))
wurde in sechs gleichgewichtige Teile aufgeteilt. Der erste
Teil wurde mit 2000 g 1,3-Butylenglykol bei 70°C während 8
Stunden extrahiert. Der zweite Teil wurde mit dem so erhaltenen
Extrakt extrahiert. Dieses Verfahren wurde fortgeführt, bis die
6 Teile in 6 Stufen extrahiert waren, wobei jeweils die vorher
gehenden Extrakte als Lösungsmittel benutzt wurden. Der endgül
tig erhaltene Extrakt ist eine hell- bis mittelgelbe Flüssig
keit mit einem charakteristischen Geruch und weist, nach all
fälliger Verdünnung mit Wasser, folgende Eigenschaften auf:

Der Anteil des Haferkorn- bzw. Hafermehlextrakts in den erfin
dungsgemäßen Mitteln liegt zwischen 0,05 und 10 Gew.-% des Mit
tels, bezogen auf den Trockenrückstand des Extrakts, vorzugs
weise bei 0,1 bis 5 Gew.-%, besonders bevorzugt bei 0,25 bis
etwa 2,5 Gew.-%, wobei ein Anteil zwischen 0,5 und 1,5 Gew.-%
besonders vorteilhaft ist.
Die erfindungsgemäßen Zusammensetzungen können in jeder mögli
chen Applikationsform vorliegen, beispielsweise als Lösungen,
Emulsionen, Dispersionen, Gele, Aerosolschäume etc.,
vorzugsweise Haarwasser bzw. -Lotion.
Auch die Anwendung in Shampoos üblicher Zusammensetzung ist
möglich.
Der pH-Wert der erfindungsgemäßen Zusammensetzungen liegt vor
zugsweise im sauren Bereich, d. h. zwischen etwa 2,5 und 7,
vorzugsweise 3 und 6, insbesondere zwischen etwa 4 und etwa
5,5.
Zur weiteren Wirkungssteigerung enthalten die erfindungsgemäßen
Zusammensetzungen dabei ,bevorzugt Hydroxycarbonsäuren, insbe
sondere in einer Menge zwischen etwa 0,05 und 5 Gew.-%, bezogen
auf die Gesamtzusammensetzung des Mittels, vorzugsweise etwa
0,1 bis 2,5 Gew.-%, besonders bevorzugt 0,25 bis 1,0 Gew.-%.
Geeignete Hydroxycarbonsäuren, die auch in Form ihrer wasser
löslichen Salze vorliegen können, sind insbesondere Citronen
säure, Milchsäure, Weinsäure, Apfelsäure, Salicylsäure,
Glyoxylsäure, Glykolsäure und insbesondere auch Gemische aus
allen diesen Säuren oder einem Teil davon.
Die Zusammensetzung solcher Mittel zur Behandlung bzw. Pflege
von Haaren und Kopfhaut ist grundsätzlich bekannt und in diver
sen Handbüchern beschrieben; es wird beispielhaft in der
Monographie von K. Schrader, "Grundlagen und Rezepturen der
Kosmetika", 2. Aufl. (Hüthig-Verlag, Heidelberg, 1989), auf das
Kapitel "Haarkosmetika", S. 661 bis 782, verwiesen, insbeson
dere die Abschnitte über Haarwasch- und Haarreinigungsmittel
(S. 677-722), Haarnachbehandlungsmittel (S. 722-737), sowie
Haaröle und Haarwässer (S. 760-771). Die dort beschriebenen
Zusammensetzungen und ihre Inhaltstoffe können auch in den er
findungsgemäßen Mitteln Anwendung finden.
Im folgenden wird anhand eines Beispiels die Herstellung eines
erfindungsgemäßen Mittels erläutert.
Eine Kopfhautlotion entspricht der folgenden Zusammensetzung:
Die Kopfhautbehandlung mit dieser Zusammensetzung führte zum
Verschwinden des Kopfjuckens und ergab auf dem Haar einen fei
nen Glanz und eine lockere Konditionierwirkung.
Das Produkt wies auch nach einer 12-monatigen Lagerung bei
30°C keinen Wirkungsabfall und keinerlei Sedimentation auf.
Weglassen des Hafermehlextraktes führte zu einem weder das
Hautjucken noch den Haarglanz positiv beeinflussenden Produkt,
das auch keinerlei Konditionierwirkung aufwies.
Claims (8)
1. Mittel zur Behandlung und Pflege des Haares und der Kopfhaut,
enthaltend einen alkoholischen oder wäßrig-alkoholischen Ex
trakt von Haferkörnern bzw. Hafermehl.
2. Mittel nach Anspruch 1, dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß es 0,05
bis 10 Gew.-% Haferkornextrakt, berechnet auf die Gesamtzu
sammensetzung des Mittels und bezogen auf den Trockenrück
stand des Extrakts, enthält.
3. Mittel nach einem oder mehreren der Ansprüche 1 bis 2, da
durch gekennzeichnet, daß es sich um einen Wasser/Poly
alkohol-Haferkornextrakt handelt.
4. Mittel nach Anspruch 3, dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß es sich
um einen Butylenglykol- und/oder Propylenglykol/Wasser-Hafer
kornextrakt handelt.
5. Mittel nach einem oder mehreren der Ansprüche 1 bis 4, da
durch gekennzeichnet, daß es zusätzlich eine oder mehrere
Hydroxycarbonsäuren bzw. deren wasserlösliche Salze enthält.
6. Mittel nach Anspruch 5, dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß es 0,05
bis 5,0 Gew.-%, berechnet auf die Gesamtzusammensetzung, min
destens einer der folgenden Hydroxycarbonsäuren bzw. deren
wasserlösliche Salze enthält:
Citronensäure, Milchsäure, Weinsäure, Apfelsäure, Salicyl säure, Glyoxylsäure, Glykolsäure.

7. Mittel nach einem oder mehreren der Ansprüche 1-7, gekenn
zeichnet durch einen pH-Wert im sauren Bereich.
8. Verwendung von wäßrig-alkoholischem Haferkornextrakt zur to
pischen Behandlung von Juckreiz der Kopfhaut.
