An Leitpfosten ist eine weiß-schwarze Markierung in "bestimmten Abmessungen vorgeschrieben. Diese Markierungshaube soll auf einfache und rasche Weise eine einmalige, witterungsbeständige Markierung der Leitpfosten gewährleisten. Die aus Kunststoff gefertigte Markierungshaube wird über den Leitpfosten gezogen oder gestülpt und entweder mit den Reflektoren zusammen angeschraubt oder auch mit anderen Haftmitteln befestigt. Dieser -verhältnismäßig einfache Arbeits= aufwand braucht mit Hilfe der Leitpfostenhaube nur einmal vorgenommen zu werden, und zwar sowohl bei neuen als auch gebrauchten Leitpfosten. Die Leitpfosten sind dann in bezug auf Markierung wartungsfrei. Soll nur die weiße Markierung erneuert werden, so wird nur der weiße, obere Seil der Mar= kierungshaube benutzt.
