Diese Neuerung bezieht sich auf Waschmaschinen mit festem Waschtrog, in denen die
Wäsche durch ein mittelst Hebel bewegtes, an der Oberfläche gewelltes Brett bearbeitet wird
und besteht darin, dafs ich an der gegenüberliegenden Wand des Troges ein Brett mit ähnlicher
Oberfläche drehbar befestige, welches mit einer Reihe von Oeffnungen versehen ist und
welches durch hölzerne Federn gezwungen wird, während des Waschens den Bewegungen
des durch den Hebel bewegten Brettes, zu folgen.This innovation relates to washing machines with a fixed washbasin in which the

Die Neuerung besteht in der Anwendung des Brettes D mit gewellter Oberfläche, welches

sind, halten das Brett D von der zugehörigen Trogwand entfernt. Sobald das
Brett B gegen das Brett D bewegt wird, wird das Letztere durch die zwischen den Brettern
befindliche Wäsche gegen die Trogwand geprefst, das Waschwasser dringt durch die Oeffnungen
a a . . . und die Wäsche, wird zwischen den beiden Brettern ausgeprefst. Beim Zurückbewegen
von Brett B saugt die Wäsche wieder von der Waschflüssigkeit auf und Brett D folgt
der Bewegung von Brett B, soweit dies die Federn m und η gestatten. Durch diese schwingende
Bewegung der beiden Bretter und dem gleichzeitigen Auspressen der Waschflüssigkeit
findet eine besonders wirksame Reinigung der Wäsche statt, während die in dem Brett C angebrachten
Durchbrechungen die Lauge der Waschflüssigkeit viel rascher ins Schäumen bringen,
