Die Neuerung betrifft einen Verschluß für scheren-und zangenartige Werkzeuge, und zwar insbesondere solche Werkzeuge, deren Griffschenkel unter der Spreizwirkung einer Püfferfeder stehen, mittels der die Griffschenkel in der Offenstellung gehalten werden. Die bisher bekannten Verschlüsse sind am unteren Ende der Griffschenkel der Werkzeuge außenseitig angeordnet und bestehen aus einem an dem einen Griffschenkel angeordneten Fortsatz mit einem Bohrloch, in das ein Bügel mit seinem einen Ende eingehängt ist, der mit seinem anderen Ende auf einen an dem anderen Griffschenkel angeordneten Fortsatz zwecks Verriegelung der beiden Griffschenkel miteinander aufschiebbar ist. Derartigen Verschlüssen haften Mängel an. So führen sie einmal insofern zu einer Verteuerung der mit ihnen ausgestatteten Werkzeuge in der Herstellung, als sie außer der Erzeugung des Bohrloches zur Anlenkung des Verschlußbügels einer verhältnismäßig umständlichen Nachbearbeitung unterzogen werden müssen. Zum anderen Male arbeiten diese Verschlüsse nicht in jedem Falle einwandfrei, so z. B. nicht bei vorzeitiger Materialabnutzung des Verschlußbügels, der sodann an dem ihn in der Riegellage aufnehmenden Portsatz des einen Griffschenkels des Werkzeuges keinen oder nur noch ungenügenden Halt findet und dadurch möglicherweise von dem Fortsatz in die unwirksame Lage abfällt.
