. The innovation concerns a piece of furniture for plinth or cantilever
sewing machines.
Derartige Möbel sind in der Weise gestaltete daß die Sockel-oder
Freiarmnähmaschine bei Nichtgebrauch in einem Raum untergebracht ist, der von zwei
Bodenbrettern bzw. den Seitenwänden und der Tür des Möbels umschlossen wird. Soll
die Maschine zum Nähen benutzt werden, so wird eie diesem Raum entnommen und auf
das höher gelegene Bodenbrett gestellt. Dieses Brett ist in ein solches Höhenverhältnis
zur Nähplatte gebracht, daß. die Fläche des Freiarmes im wesentlichen mit der Fläche
der Nähplatte fluchtet.
In dieser Lage der Freiaramaschine lassen sich ausschließlich
Nãharbeiten für flaches Nähgut verrichten.

Die Nähplatte für derartige Nähmaschinen war bisher so ge-
staltet, daß der größere Ausschnitt, der erforderlich ist,
um
die Nähmasehinengrundplatte, die gegenüber der Breite des Freiarmes wesentlich breiter
gehalten ist, einführen zu können, nach dem Aufsetzen der Nähmaschine auf das höher
gelegene Bodenbrett von mehrer@n Nähplatten-Einzelteilen ausgefüllt wurde, die um
den Freiarm herumgelegt und an ihm bündig anlagen. Diese Einzelteile haben den Nachteil,
daß sie einerseits verlegt werden können und andererseits größere Mühe beim Ausfüllen
des Ausschnittes in der Nähplatte machen.
Gemäß der Neuerung ist an Stelle der Einzelteile ein ein-
zuges Mhplattenteil in Gestalt eines Schiebers getreten, der
