Grimm & Triepel, Kautabak- und Zigarrenfabriken, Unterrieden / Werra KreisWitzenhau. en Verpackung für Kautabak Die Erfindung betrifft eine Verpackung für Kautabak. Bisher verwendete man für die Aufbewahrung der einzelnen Kautabakstückehen bzw. Kautabakrollen Steintopfe oder andere Behälter. Andererseits hat man auch schon kleinere Mengen von Kautabakstückchen, beispielsweise 10 bis 20 Stück, je nach Grösse in Papierumhüllungen verpackt. Man verwendete dazu paraffiniertes, entsprechend zugeschnittenen Hüllmaterial, auf welchem mittels Handarbeit die einzelnen Kautabakstückchen schichtweise nebeneinandergelegt wurden. Dann wurden die am Hüllmaterialzuschnitt dafür vorgesehenen kreuzweise angeordneten Verachlusslappen um die Kautabak- schicht herumgelegt und das so gebildete Päckchen in eine Deekelsehaehtol oder ähnliches eingebracht. Diese Art der Verpackung erforderte eine grosse Anzahl von Arbeitskräften und war deshalb unwirtschaftlich und teuer. Ausserdem aber waren die Kautabakatücke nur unzulänglich eingehüllt, so dass sie nur kurze Zeit gelagert werden konnten. Eine maschinelle Verpackung des Kautabaks war wegen der klebrigen Beschaffenheit und der Unregelmässigkeit in der Form der einzelnen Stücke bisher nicht möglich. Durch die Neuerung werden die geschilderten Mängel behoben, indem er- findungagemäas eine steife Beilage aus Pappe, Karton o. dgl. zur Anwen- dung gelangt, die von dem Hmllmaterialzusehnitt mit eingeaehleeeen wird. Die steife Beilage bildet eine widerstandstihige Unterlage, um die herum der Hillmatorialzuschnitt ordnungsgemaaa gefaltet werden kann, so dass damit auch ein besserer Abschluae der Packungshülle erreicht Ist. Vorzugsweise liegen die Kautabakstueke in einer Schicht nebeneinander- bzw. aneinanderanstossend auf der Beilage oder sie erden von dieser abgedeckt. Während des Packvorganges bildet die Beilage eine die Kautabakstücke tragende Unterlage, um die dann das Hüllmaterial heu gefaltet ist. Die steife Beilage gestattet die maschinelle Verpackung der Kautabakstückchen in einer mit einem Stöpsel arbeitenden Paokmaschine, wobei die zu verpackende Kautabakmenge anf der Beilage liegend mit dieser und einem darübergelegten Büllmaterialzuschnitt durch einen Faltschacht oder ähnliche Faltorgane hindurchgedrückt wird, se dass sich der Hüllmaterialzuschnitt um die Packung herumlegt. Wenn der Hüllmaterialzuschnitt mit seinen über die Packung hinausstehen- den Rändern ordnungegemänn iiber der Unterlage um die Packung herum- gefaltet ist, kann das auf diese Weise eingehüllt.
