Die Neuerung betrifft einchorige Webwaren, wie Teppiche, Brücken,
Läufer und Anlegeware. Bisher war man gezwungen, einchorige Webwaren dieser Art
angemustert herzustellen, da die Musterung durch die verschiedenen Farben der Chore
erzielt wird. Auch bei einfachster Musterung mussten also zum Weben zwei Chore benutzt
werden, was den Nachteil hat, dass immer
ein totes Chor mitgeführt werden, mss, wodurch eine grosse
Menge Material unnütz verbraucht wird.

Sie besteht darin, dass bei einchorigen Webwaren die Fäden an den
Reliefstellen im Grundgewebe festgehalten sind, so dass sie nicht als aufgeschnittene
Noppen an die Oberfläche treten. Auf diese Weise ist es möglich, auch der einchorigen
Waren eine Reliefmusterung zu geben, s@ dass es nunmehr möglich ist, auch einchorige
Webwaren mit ihrem geringen Materialaufwand mit Musterungen zu versehen. Es lassen
sich mithin mit verhiltnismãssig niedrigen Gestehungskosten gemusterte Waren herstellen.
Darüberhinaus bringt die Neuerung eine wesentliche geschmackliche-Verbesserung,
da gerade diese Reliefmusterung sich geschmacklich ausserordentlich wirkungsvoll
gestalten lässt und somit der Gebrauchswert der neuen Ware erheblich gesteigert
wird.
