Am 5. 11. 1311 wurde der æolian Conp. Neu York auf die Verbindung

eines mechanischen Klaviers mit einer Sprechmaschine ein Patent erteilt. Der Patentanspruch
erstreckte sich u. a. auf die Anbringung eines Phonogramträgers auf den perforierten
Notenband. Da nun aber zu jener Zeit das Magnetophonband oder der Magnetophondraht
noch unbekannt war, bitte ich auf nachstehend beschriebene Anordnung mir einen Musterschutz

verursachte einseitige Verdickung des Notenbandes ausgleicht und den sonst durch
die ungleiche Zunahme des Notenrollendurchmessers hervorgerufene schräge Lauf verhindert.
Anstelle des erwähnten Tonbandes kann auch in entsprechender Anordnung ein Lagnetophondraht
verwendet werden, der getrennt vom Hotenband, aber in gleichen Takt-
