Die Erfindung betrifft einen Zerkleinerer und gleichzeitige Gutaufgabe für einen von unten nach oben von Warmluft durchströmten Trockner für Grasmehl. Es ist bekannt, Gras in einer Mühle zu Mehl zu mahlen, dieses gleichzeitig einem Warmluftstrom auszusetzen und anschließend in einer Stromtrocknungsstrecke weiter zu trocknen. Demgegenüber erlaubt der Erfindungsgegenstand durch seine besondere Ausgestaltung des gleichzeitig als Gutaufgabe dienenden Zerkleinerers ohne Vorzerkleinerung des Grases zu arbeiten und dieses trotzdem in Mehlfeinheit zu behandeln. Zur Lösung dieser Aufgabe ist der gleichzeitig auch als Gutaufgabe dienende Zerkleinerer dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß er aus einem einem Transportband nachgeschalteten Förderwalzenpaar und einer diesem folgenden hochtourig angetriebenen Welle mit mehreren gezahnten Taumelschneidscheiben besteht, die mit einer im Abstand um diese angeordneten Hüllwand eine im Trocknungsraum endende Gutaustrittsöffnung bilden. Günstige Winkel zwischen Taumelscheibe und ihrer Projektion auf ihre Achse sind dabei 5 bis 10°, günstige Schneidscheibenabstände 2 bis 3 cm bei Drehzahlen von 2500 bis 3000 U/min. Durch den Erfindungsgegenstand wird das Gras feinst zerkleinert in den Trocknungsraum eingeführt, wo die hochsteigende Trocknungswarmluft dem fallenden Grasmehl den gewünschten Wassergehalt entzieht. Auf diese Weise wird das gleichmäßig feinst zerkleinerte Gras gleichmäßig und schnell getrocknet. Ein Teil der Warmluft steigt in Pfeilrichtung 16 nach oben in den Trocknungsraum 12 und wird durch den Kamin 24 mit Drossel- klappe 25 abgezogen, ein Teil strömt in Pfeilrichtung 17 nach unten in einen unter dem Boden 13 angeordneten Kanal 18, der in den Gutabzugskanal 19 mündet.
