The invention relates to a work coat and the like, in which the buttons on one edge of the closure are releasably held by a retaining cord. Work coats and the like usually have to be washed frequently often weekly or even daily. Therefore, with these items of clothing, the Buttons are detachably attached so that they do not interfere with washing, ironing and ironing of the garment and also not be damaged themselves.
