Description

Method for copying colored originals The invention relates to a Process for copying colored originals in which the total exposure of the copy material takes place in the form of several colored partial exposures, and to determine the respective exposure times of these partial exposures, with the master copy or an optical image of the same in excerpts corresponding to the colors of the partial exposures each point-by-point photoelectrically scanned and the density of the individual pixels of each color separation is determined separately and with each color separation is only integrated over part of the density values determined in this way.

There are now negatives that are correctly exposed, but in which they are extraordinary light or dark areas in one of the colors predominate. For color copiers, which are already known and work according to the exposure metering principle mentioned above, from such negatives, color-falsified copies result from the fact that during integration an exposure time is also only determined over part of the determined density values that does not properly account for the extremely light or dark areas wearing.

In order to avoid color casts occurring in this way, is according to the invention suggested that for each color separation all the determined in a known manner Density values of those pixels whose density exceeds a certain value or falls below a certain value to determine the exposure time of the corresponding colored partial exposure of the copy material used and integrated will.

The advantages achieved by the invention are mainly in it see that measurement errors due to very different densities of a magnified or negatives to be copied or due to very different brightness values of the object to be recorded can be avoided. You have it with the invention Procedure in hand, by the size of the field division the measuring accuracy so to influence how it is necessary for the respective practical purpose.

The method according to the invention can be implemented in various ways, especially since the electronics have a wide variety of aids to carry out the process, which do not need to be described in detail.
