Diese Handhäbung erfordert einen- erheblichen Zeitaufwand. Des weiteren sind Sortiergeräte für Karten mit zwei Lochfeldern bekannt. Die Karten werden in Einsatzkästen aufbewahrt, die insgesamt in das Sortiergerät eingesetzt werden und entsprechend den Stirnwänden des Sortiergerätes ebenfalls mit Lochungen und Querschlitzen zum Einstecken von Halte- und Fragenadeln versehen sind. Der einen Einsatzkasten aufnehmende Oberteil des Sortiergerätes ist längsgeteilt, wobei zum Auswählen der Karten der eine Teil seitlich ausgeschwenkt wird. Diese Sortiergeräte sind sehr umfangreich im Aufbau und lassen nur eine sehr beschränkte Ausnutzung zu. So kann hier nur. die halbe in einer Karte enthaltene Lochzahl ausgenutzt werden, weil jedes zu nadelnde Kennzeichen in-der linken und in der rechten Kartenhälfte besonders genadelt werden muß. Abgesehen davon, daß bei diesem Sortiergerät die doppelte Nadelanzahl gesteckt werden muß, müssen auch alle Fragenadeln, die gesteckt sind, aus dem Sortiergerät herausgenommen werden, wenn der Behälter bzw. Einsatzkasten mit den Karten entfernt werden soll. B. mit vier Nadeln eingeführt werden kann. Das Lockern der Karten kann mit der Hand oder durch Schütteln des ganzen Sortiergerätes unterstützt werden. Sind alle gesuchten Schlitzlochkarten gefallen, so wird die Zwischenwand 15 in die alte Lage, d. h. bis zu dem Anschlag 20, zurückgeschoben. Dabei werden die nicht ausgewählten Schlitzlochkarten von den Fragenadeln zurück auf den Haltekamm geschoben, während die um eine Schlitzlänge gefallenen ausgewählten Karten mit ihrem Kopfrand unter die Haltenadel abgesenkt sind. Ein Beispiel einer solchen Anordnung deutet die Fig.4 an, die das Sortiergerät in einem schematischen Querschnitt darstellt. Der Kartenstapel 7 wird von Leitblechen 23 geführt, die in Lagern 24 schwenkbar gelagert sind und von einer Feder 25 gegeneinander zusammengezogen und gegen die Längsseiten des Kartenstapels 7 gedrückt werden.
