Description
DEUTSCHES
Die Erfindung betrifft eine Bremsflüssigkeit nach Patentanmeldung W 11857 IVc/23c.
Es ist eine Bremsflüssigkeit auf der Basis von 10 bis 25 Volumprozent Mono- und Diricinoleaten aliphatischer
Glycole, 3 bis 15 Volumprozent aliphatischen Glycolen, 10 bis 24 Volumprozent 2-Methyl-2,4-pentandiol
sowie 45 bis 70 Volumprozent niederen einwertigen Alkoholen (bis Amylalkohol) oder niederen
Monoalkyläthern des Mono- bzw. Di-äthylen- oder -propylenglycols bekannt.
Diesen bekannten Bremsflüssigkeiten gegenüber betrifft der Erfindungsgegenstand der Patentanmeldung
W 11857 IVc/23c eine Bremsflüssigkeit auf der gleichen
Basis mit einem Gehalt von im wesentlichen wasserunlöslichen Polypropylenglycol eines mittleren
Molgewichtes von 1000 bis 3000, vorzugsweise etwa 2000.
Die erfindungsgemäße Bremsflüssigkeit enthält nun nicht 45 bis 70 Volumteile Alkohol mit bis zu
5 C-Atomen und/oder niederen Monoalkyläthern des Äthylenglycols, Diäthylenglycols, Propylenglycols und
Dipropylenglycols gemäß Patentanmeldung W 11857 IVc/23c, sondern statt dessen eine Mischung aus
einem Alkohol der allgemeinen Formel C6H13OH
mit niederen Monoalkyläthern von Äthylenglycol und Di äthy lenglycol.
Die bevorzugte Zusammensetzung besteht aus 5 bis 20 Volumprozent eines Ricinoleates eines Glycols,
das ein aliphatisches Glycol mit nicht mehr als 5 Kohlenstoffatomen je Mol ist, aus 5 bis 20 Volumprozent
eines wasserunlöslichen Polypropylenglycols mit einem durchschnittlichen Molgewicht von 1000
bis 3000, aus 50 bis 75 Volumprozent eines Verdünnungsmittels aus niederem Monoalkyläther von Äthylen-
und Diäthylenglycol plus 15 bis 35 Volumprozent, vorzugsweise aber 21 Volumprozent Methylisobutylcarbinol;
aus 5 bis 15 Volumprozent mindestens eines Glycols aus der Gruppe der Propylenglycole,
Butylenglycole und Hexylenglycole und aus einem Korrosionsschutzmittel sowie einem Oxydationsschutzmittel.
Es wurde gefunden, daß der Zusatz von Methylisobutylcarbinol
(MIBC) als ein Teil des Verdünnungsmittels der Flüssigkeit unerwartete gute Ergebnisse
zeitigt. Methylisobutylcarbinol ist ein Hexanol und ein verhältnismäßig preiswertes Verflüssigungsmittel.
Die Mengen der bei der erfindungsgemäßen Masse verwendeten Bestandteile sind von Bedeutung. Die
beanspruchten Mengen sind gewählt, weil alle die zahlreichen Erfordernisse einer praktisch verwendbaren
Bremsflüssigkeit nicht zufriedenstellend erhalten werden, wenn diese Mengen nicht vorhanden
sind.

Der Korrosionsversuch nach der SAE-Vorschrift R 1 für hydraulische Bremsflüssigkeiten wurde mit
dieser Flüssigkeit während der Dauer von 5 Tagen bei 98,9° C ausgeführt. Der Aluminiumstreifen und
SW 60O/44O
der Zinnstreifen zeigten während dieses Versuches keinen Gewichtsverlust; Stahl, Gußeisen und Kupfer
verloren nur etwa 0,03 Milligramm je cm2, der Messingstreifen verlor etwa 0,06 Milligramm je cm2
an Gewicht. Der SAE-pH-Wert der Flüssigkeit nach dem Korrosionsversuch betrug 7,6. Diese Versuche
liegen leicht innerhalb der Erfordernisse der SAE-Vorschriften.
Ein Kolbenversuch wurde an dieser Flüssigkeit nach der SAE-Vorschrift 70Rl für hydraulische
Bremsflüssigkeiten ausgeführt, um den Schmierwert in einer Bremsanlage zu bestimmen. Die Versuche
zeigten, daß diese Flüssigkeit einen zufriedenstellenden Schmierwert hat. Der Verschleiß an dem aus
Aluminium bestehenden Versuchskolben schwankte zwischen 0,0025 bis 0,0889 Millimeter. Der Kolben
war poliert. Es erfolgte kein Festfressen oder Anrauhen der Flächen.
Die Flüssigkeit wurde in verschiedenen Versuchswagen für eine ziemlich lange Dauer im üblichen
Betrieb erprobt und ergab gute Erfolge, die zeigten, daß es sich um eine praktisch verwendbare hydraulische
Bremsflüssigkeit handelt.

Claims (3)
1. Bremsflüssigkeiten nach Patentanmeldung W 11857 IVc/23 c, dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß
dieselbe an Stelle von 45 bis 70 Volumteilen Alkohol mit bis zu 5 C-Atomen und/oder niederen
Monoalkyläthern des Äthylenglycols, Diäthylenglycols, Propylenglycols und Dipropylenglycols
eine Mischung aus einem Alkohol der allgemeinen Formel C6H13OH mit niederen Monoalkyläthern
von Äthylenglycol und Diäthylenglycol enthält.
2. Bremsflüssigkeit nach Anspruch 1, gekennzeichnet durch einen Gehalt eines Gemisches aus
15 bis 35 Volumteilen Alkohol der Formel C6H13OH und aus 20 bis 45 Volumteilen des
Monoäthylenäthers von Diäthylenglycol.
3. Bremsflüssigkeit nach Anspruch 1 oder 2, dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß der Alkohol Methylisobutylcarbinol
ist.
