Abstract
Die Erfindung betrifft eine Vorrichtung zur Verbesserung der Sichtverhältnisse in einem Kraftfahrzeug, mit einer Strahlungsquelle für infrarote Strahlung zur Bestrahlung der Umgebung des Fahrzeuges, mit einer infrarotempfindlichen Kamera zur Erfassung zumindest eines Teils der bestrahlten Umgebung, mit einer Displayeinheit zur Darstellung erfasster Bilddaten und mit einer Steuereinheit zur Steuerung der Vorrichtung. Dabei ist die Steuereinheit so ausgebildet, dass nach Ablauf einer vorgegebenen Zeitspanne t das Display ausgeschaltet wird. Diese Vorrichtung gewährleistet einen sehr sicheren Betrieb für den Benutzer.
