Abstract

Die Erfindung betrifft ein Verfahren und eine Anlage zur Wärmebehandlung titanhaltiger Feststoffe. Die feinkörnigen Feststoffe werden hierzu in einem Reaktor (4) mit zirkulierender Wirbelschicht auf eine Temperatur von 700 bis 1000 DEG C erhitzt und teilweise zusammen mit Abgasen aus dem Reaktor (4) in einen nachgeschalteten Abscheider (9) ausgetragen. In diesem werden die Feststoffe von den Abgasen getrennt und zumindest teilweise und/oder phasenweise in den Reaktor (4) zurückgeführt. Dem Reaktor (4) und/oder dem Abscheider (9) ist ein Einspritzkühler (13) nachgeschaltet, in welchem die Feststoffe durch Einspritzen eines Kühlmittels auf unter 250 DEG C abgekühlt werden. Dem Einspritzkühler (13) kann ein Wirbelschichtkühler (16) zur weiteren Kühlung der Feststoffe nachgeschaltet sein.
