Description

  • Kunststoffprofil zur Herstellung eines Glasteppichs, insbesondere für Beleuchtungszwecke Zusatz zum Patent 1005911 In dem Patent 1 005 911 wird als Verbindungsmittel der einzelnen Glasstreifen für die Herstellung eines beweglichen Glasteppichs ein U-förmig ausgebildeter, biegsamer Haltestreifen verwandt. Es ist weiterhin bekannt, statt des U-förmigen Haltestreifens einen solchen aus elastischem Werkstoff, wie Schaumkunststoff oder Schaumgummi zu verwenden. Beide Arten der Glasverbindung haben sich in der Praxis bewährt.
  • Es besteht jedoch bei beiden der Nachteil, daß die mit den genannten Verbindungsmitteln hergestellten Glasteppiche nicht am Bestimmungsort zusammengesetzt werden können sondern in der Werkstatt montiert werden müssen.
  • Die Erfindung beseitigt diesen Mangel und besteht darin daß ein Kunststoffprofil als durchsichtiges, an sich bekanntes I-Profil so ausgebildet ist, daß die die Glasstreifen des Glasteppichs einfassenden Längskanten des Profils schwach aufeinander zugebogen sind. so daß die Glasstreifen klemmend festgehalten werden. Die Imlenflächen des Profils können auch mit Kautschuk oder einem anderen Selbstkleber ausgestrichen sein. so daß die in das Profil eingedrückten Glasstreifen fest haften. Durch diese Anwendung der Profile ist es ohne weiteres möglich, eine endlose Glaswand zu schaffen und diese erst am Bestimmungsort zusammenzusetzen. r>urch die Herstellung des Eunststoffprofils in jeder Farbe können besondere Lichteffekte erzielt werden.
  • In der Zeichnung ist die Erfindung in zwei Ausführungsbeispielen dargestellt.
  • Al>b. 1 zeigt das Kunststoffprofil; Abb. .2zeigt das Kunststoffprofil in Verbindung mit Glasstreifen.
  • Es bedeutet 1 das I-Profil aus Kunststoff, 2 Kautschuk oder einen anderell Selbstkleber in der Innen wandung des Profils und 3 die in das Profil beidseitig eingedrückten Glasstreifen.

Claims (2)

  1. PATENTANSPRÜCHE 1. Kunststoffprofil zur Herstellung eines Glasteppichs. insbesondere für Beleuchtungszwecke nach Patent 1 005 911, dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß es als durchsichtiges, an sich bekanntes I-Profil derartig ausgebildet ist, daß die die Glasstreifen des Glasteppichs einfassenden Längskanten des Profils schwach aufeinander zugebogen sind, so daß sie die Glasstreifen klemmend festhalten.
  2. 2. Eunststoffprofil nach Anspruch 1, dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß seine Imlenfläcllen mit Kautschuk oder einem anderen Selbstkleler so ausgestrichen sind, daß die in das Profil eingedrückten Glasstreifen fest haften.
